Very nice hotel with friendly service

It's a pretty nice city, and you can walk to almost anywhere. There's the British Palace and a shopping street nearby. It's very clean and the rooms are quite spacious.

Centrally located, clean hotel, with courteous staff. Unfortunately, the taxi they called for us overcharged us (almost double the rate), which took us by surprise. The driver did not speak English, and we did not speak Spanish. He did not turn on the meter and demanded the "flat rate to the airport". Other than that, we did not have any other issues with the hotel.

Great location and cute hotel. But even though it says parking in site. There is none. Had to walk across the river to a public parking/carwash. Thankfully there was an attendant that helped park the car. The space was so small it would have been a nightmare. Aside from the parking everything was great.

Just like each region in Spain has its own flavor, so does each hotel. We’ve had the luck of staying at wonderful hotels but so far Hotel Tayko has raised the bar. This hotel provides a lot of conveniences as it is located in the center. It offers parking as well but it was full when we were there. We found plenty of overnight street parking around there. The room is very clean and comfy. We enjoyed our stay.

Our room was clean, and we liked that we were able to open the window. Even though our room was on the street it was quiet. A few options to walk to for food/drinks but not too many and not too close. The staff was friendly and the breakfast options were good.

The staff were amazing! Kind and attentive and allowed an early check-in. The room itself was excellent- clean, comfortable and lots of amenities. I enjoyed a relaxing bath with bath salts provided, in addition to an exfoliating mat. Lastly, the location is perfect, across from the Guggenheim museum and 1 block from the tram station. I highly recommend this hotel!!

Although the staff were very good the hotel was somewhat to be desired. Bathroom was weird - bathroom sink had opening through the wall into the bedroom part separated by a curtain. The breakfast was a total rip off - so over priced - 2 eggs, 1 small piece of toast, 4 spinach leaves and 2 cherry tomatoes with coffee was just over 20 Euros. Really close to the Guggenheim but generally overpriced...

We had a great stay with our dog at a very reasonable price. There was a slight odd smell when we arrived, but it quickly went away after we opened the windows. The hotel is pet-friendly, though there was an extra charge of €12 for our dog and €18 for parking. Breakfast cost €9.50 per person and included fresh pastries, fruit, and yogurts. Overall, it was a comfortable and pleasant stay.

A wonderful hotel with incredibly friendly staff. Even though we arrived well before check-in, we were able to shower and freshen up after our journey, and then immediately set off to explore the wonderful city of Bilbao! The Guggenheim Museum is just a short walk away. The breakfasts were delightful, and the coffee was delicious!

It was good, but for example, they had a full parking lot, so we had to leave our car on the street. Several times when we used the bathroom, it smelled like sewage. The staff was excellent, the mattresses were 10 points, the location was exceptional, and the neighborhood was very good.

Great location and interior at first; what impaired the experience for us was what sounded like a high probability to either get parking in the hotel or nearby (which wasn’t the case, and turned out to cost us a lot of time [and nerves] on a trip where we barely any).

Location near to train Station of Abando, but challenging because it's quite a hike. Breakfast really delicious, i like the potato omelets. Room is quite decorated. This is not a fancy hotel, but it has been recently renovated. We got a fantastic room, relatively large with a terrace. We could not have been happier. And the location is ideal, within walking distance of the Guggenheim museum and the center of Bilbao.

I had a very pleasant stay. Clean and comfortable. Excellet breakfast, perfect location. On the down side, the parking is very narrow/tight; it might be difficult with a big car and I wouldn't try with a SUV. Other facilities are limited.

Given its location near Bilbao's city center and train station, it's a good value option. During my stay, I didn't experience the soundproofing issues mentioned in other reviews. However, the outdated room facilities were a problem; there were no power outlets by the bed, no hairdryer, and the bathroom had a bathtub instead of a shower, which raised concerns about hygiene.

The hotel was centrally located and easy access. The Wifi did not work properly, only in a few parts of the hotel. The walls, doors and windows have no kindof sound proofing at all. All night we could hear talking outside and we could hear the couple next door "enjoy each" other way too loud.
