Where to stay in Santander

High quality hotel situated in a very good location easily within walking distance to the beaches and local restaurants and bars. Room was clean and well appointed with air conditioning. Staff were friendly and efficient. No problem recommending this hotel. The outside look of the hotel is not particularly attractive but inside it is what one would expect from a 4 star hotel.

Really beautiful old hotel with gorgeous views. The rooms are a bit dated but still clean and comfortable with a great shower. The balcony was a little disappointing - just two little metal chairs and no table. Some other balconies had tables but some looked broken; a lot of mismatched furniture. This was a lovely historic and very well appointed five star hotel. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and would highly recommend it. The breakfast was delicious too. The common rooms of the hotel are stately. And the bedrooms were very comfortable with gorgeous modern bathroom.

Stunning hotel ..staying here 2 days .. hopeless breakfast.. yeah we're English. But the bacon . Scrambled eggs and fried eggs we're cold .. . Not worth anywhere near 18 euros . Breakfast is probably worth half that . And breakfast area not very welcoming.. definitely eating out for breakfast tomorrow

Very helpful front desk staff, we got an upgrade to ocean view room which was much appreciated. Just over the road from the beautiful beach. Clean and spacious room , comfortable bed. Breakfast ok but nothing special.

However, on returning to the room on the 2nd day we had no cups or satchets of coffee/milk for the morning. We enjoyed a pleasant overnight stay in this large hotel overlooking the beach. The room was of good size and well maintained. Free on-street parking was found behind the hotel. Local wine bars and restaurants are within easy walking distance.

We really liked our experience at the Vinci Puerto chico. The location is excellent. The room was a little small but cozy, and the bathroom was quite big. The public parking right outside is a plus. The staff was nice and there were some nice touches. We did not take the breakfast. I would stay here again and highly recommend thanks to the awesome location.

Very nice place to stay on the waterfront and near Casa Lita. Our room was clean and comfortable. Our A/C worked like a charm and the breakfast buffet was very good. Good Wifi, as well.

This was a nicer hotel than some of the 4 Stars I have stayed in Spain. Breakfast is always great at NH hotels with eggs made to order and a large selection at the buffet. Best of all, they stored our bicycles inside for the night as we are cycle tourers. Thanks NH for a restful and nice stay.

What’s the difference between a 2 star or a 3 star hotel? For us this was 3 star. Clean and comfortable, nice bathroom. The hotel is connected to a very popular restaurant . The breakfast was served in the restaurant and there were a mix of hotel guests and locals. The location was in the pedestrian area. We thought this stay was good and good value for money.

This is a simple and charming hotel in a great neighbourhood, close but not in the centre of the city, very walkable and safe. My room was extremely clean, the bed was comfortable and the room had everything I needed. The included breakfast was in the restaurant that is part of the hotel and it was great, with fresh squeezed orange juice, excellent coffee and I chose the Spanish tortilla every morning...

We stayed just one night prior to getting the ferry back to England. We had our dogs with us and the hotel catered very well for them. We didn't have breakfast or dinner in the hotel, but there were plenty of choices for both within a short walk of the hotel.

Loved the stay in this NH hotel in particularly, we travelled with our dog and it was the first time they have left us a bed and a toy for him. Small details count 😌

I recently had a 2 night stay here. Great location 5 minute walk to train & bus stations. Room was big enough,,yes it was basic but end of the day it is stated as a budget hotel so wasnt expecting the ritz plus it had everything I needed in it,,,the hotel & the room was very clean,,staff at reception were polite & friendly & so were the cleaners, they never passed you by without saying Ola. Very good location if you are in transit in Santander. Very close (5 minutes walking) to the train station and bus terminal. Close to the sea. The hotel is basic, but very clean.

First hotel we came across when arriving in santander for the ferry. Very close to the port with great little bars around. The room was perfectly adequate and very clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Very reasonably priced considering it's location. I would highly recommend.

I stayed here for two nights. The staff were very nice and the room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is very well-located (close to the beach, the train and bus station and to the city center). I could sometimes hear the neighbors, but it did not annoy me at all. There was also a small bar beside the hotel and the food was really good. I recommend this place

Lovely little hotel. A little out dated but extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean!!! The room was dark as the shutter seemed down but the view wasn't anything special!!! Everything is OK. Only thing I do not like that is the room is in basement. I would not book the hotel if I knew I will stay in a basement room. It did not say this when I booked the hotel.

Beautiful location but very noisy rooms Hotel is in a beautiful setting very quiet out of the main city. There’s a bus stop close by to take you to the center. The decor is very dated and had a Fawlty Towers vibe. A big negative was the noise from the room above which started at 04:00 and ended at 06:00. There’s no sound proofing

The bed was two singles pushed together instead of a double bed. There was no room for a bedside table on one side of the bed. There was a light above the bed which was either directly over my head or in the way when I got out of bed. The room was a bit cold so we tried to increase the temperature but it had little effect. The car park was at the station, a few minutes walk away.

Room was small and dark with very little space to set luggage. I think they have larger rooms so ask for one. Bathroom had no shelf to set washbag on. Breakfast was good for the price and service attentive. However the location is excellent for everything - close to bus station and ferry so would recommend it for this reason.

The ceiling fan is greatly appreciated, a room with table and chairs is available for all guests and a fridge is provided in the room. This is long overdue. We stayed here for three nights last summer and enjoyed every minute of it. The setting let alone remodeled historic structure are enough to draw us back to this wonderful hotel. We stayed for two very enjoyable nights. The staff are exceptional, nothing is too much trouble. The grounds are beautiful very calm & relaxing. The rooms are a tranquil oasis.
