Not a very satisfying experience.
1. The room wasn't thoroughly cleaned. A dirty diaper from the previous day wasn't removed.
2. The staff weren't very welcoming. When issues arose, they tended to push the problem back to the guest instead of offering solutions. It was really disappointing to find them even lying to get the job done.
3. The room's facilities didn't match the price point. It was generally dim, so I wouldn't recommend it for families with children.

I absolutely love staying at Alma Hotel in Barcelona! This was my second time here, and I’m already counting down the days until my third visit. The location is perfect — right in the heart of the city, making it incredibly convenient to explore all the sights, shops, and vibrant streets of Barcelona.

The breakfast here is beyond amazing. I always look forward to the French omelet and the freshly baked sourdough — truly the perfect way to start the day. Every detail is thoughtfully prepared, and the quality is consistently outstanding.

Our room was spacious, impeccably clean, and wonderfully comfortable. It felt like a relaxing retreat after a full day of exploring the city. The attention to detail and care throughout the hotel makes every stay feel special.

Alma Hotel has truly become my favorite spot in Barcelona — I can’t recommend it highly enough. From the central location to the incredible breakfast and comfortable rooms, it’s absolutely perfect. I can’t wait for my next stay!

The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable, though the pillows were either too high or too low. The hairdryer was subpar, so you might want to bring your own. One night, around midnight, there was a power outage while I was showering. Power was restored quickly, but there was no cold water, so I had to make do with hot water. The restaurant was excellent, though not cheap. Breakfast was about 50 euros and didn't offer a huge variety, but the ingredients were high quality.

Perfect weekend at Alma Hotel in Barcelona with my wife.
Excellent service from check-in to departure – staff attentive and efficient. Room was spacious, modern, clean, with a comfy bed and great rain shower. Spa was perfect, relaxing and top-notch.
Prime Eixample location: close to Gaudí sites and dining, yet peaceful. Overall a great hotel – highly recommend.

Excellent service and location! Very modern with beautiful lighting. You would not know it’s right next to Passeig de Gràcia because it is so peaceful with soundproofing in the rooms. Looking forward to my next stay here!

500 euros per night, but motel service.

Firstly, cleaning service do not renew products, or fold any clothes.

Secondly, hotel crew kept us waiting for an extra comforter for more than 30 minutes, until after 1 am.

This is my third day staying at this hotel, and I am feeling so uncomfortable about the lack of service here that I must stay up at midnight and write this review.
Imagine my disappointment after a long day, going back to a hotel that advertises itself as “luxury and five star”, only to find out the cleaning crew did not leave any new toothbrushes and toothpaste in the bathroom, and our pajamas that were left in the bed, now a wrinkled mess on a chair?
As I recall, even four star hotels and cruises would fold any clothes that are left in the visible part of the room.
This is the first time that my pajamas got wrapped like a mess by hotel.
And the day before, my husband requested an extra comforter because we were cold. They took hotel more than 30 minutes, and left us waiting until after 1am, then finally brought us one.

Absolutely unacceptable.

Nice location, lovely rooms with plenty of space and a good view to the internal garden. We were a group and were given 4 adjacent rooms which was nice. Breakfast was good, the bar was intimate yet roomy and all the staff were welcoming and helpful. We'll be back.

I like this hotel. It has the heritage and inspiration of the Spanish obsession with art. The hotel design and functions are in place. The light and dark options are convenient and the location is excellent. It is less than a hundred steps to the most famous Brandi Street. It has a low-key style of hiding in the city and reveals the luxury of thoughtful details everywhere. There are many snack shops nearby, which is very convenient.
