⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Wonderful Stay Before Our Cruise!

We stayed at Hotel Catalonia La Boqueria in October 2025 before our cruise, and we had such a pleasant experience. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect—right in the heart of everything.

What really made our stay special was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Everyone was welcoming, and we want to especially thank Alexa (the manager), Ricardo, and Sebastian for their outstanding service. A week after our stay, when we returned from our cruise and needed a place to store our luggage for a few hours, they were so gracious and accommodating in helping us.

It's a good hotel to stay over the holidays. When you enter the hotel, there is a guest service agent already to help you to pick up your baggages. The receptionists are friendly and helpful. The room was clean but the interior fittings (even in the bathroom) are in a poor condition.

We had a stay there for 4 nights and we had a good experience. The place is clean, staff is friendly and breakfast is very good. Location is great very convenient for metro and city centre.only problem is water bottle. I would definitely recommend this place.

The staff here is fabulous. We had several needs while in Barcelona that was outside the realm of what a hotel should have to manage and yet they were happy willing and able to go out of their way for us. Much love to the staff. Rooms were clean and the lobby is secure and lovely. The breakfast had a wonderful selection

There's a number of problems. The shower pressure is awful and it is very cold. The bed is on wheels and frequently moves during the night. The noise is ridiculous, from both outside and neighbouring rooms. There was a bottle of water in the room, no note as to whether it was complimentary or not. The mini bar is a joke, damaged dented cans which meant I couldn't drink them. The air conditioning is loud and keeps you awake at night. A basic lack of amenities like toilet paper and shampoo topped an awful stay at this hotel. Lastly it was not made clear where to get breakfast, and we were never informed. I told the hotel about the above and they simply said I should have spoke to the hotel whilst staying there. So basically instead of exploring the sights of Barcelona and enjoying my holiday I should have stood in the lobby of a "4 star hotel" and explained my grievances! Absolutely ridiculous.

The room isn't huge, but it's perfectly adequate, and the AC works great. It's a typical European hotel. The real highlight is its incredible location: right by the metro, next to a large market, and just a short walk to the beach and Plaça de Catalunya. The staff are very friendly, speak good English, and are always happy to help.

I arrived at the hotel just after 10am, but they let me check in right away, so I was able to leave my suitcase in the room and head out to the market nearby.
The nearest station is a 3-minute walk away, but it's also 10 minutes away from Catalunya Station, so it's very convenient.

The service here is top-notch! Whether you need a dinner recommendation or help with check-in, the staff is super helpful. And the location? Absolutely unbeatable! You’re within walking distance of everything—La Catedral is less than 10 minutes away (a little longer if you’re like me and stop for photos), La Boqueria market is just around the corner, and Las Ramblas is only a few steps away. Plus, there’s a metro station nearby for easy access to the rest of the city. And if that’s not enough, the tourist bus stop is just a 15-minute walk away. Couldn’t ask for a better spot!

The room is in the older part of the city, so it's a bit noisy, and the surroundings are also shabby. The hotel is a bit dim, and I personally feel that I won't stay there next time.
