The location was great, near Plaça de Catalunya and right in front of the Barcelona Cathedral. I think this is a better option than some of the awkwardly overpriced places.

A/c is not working so you have to open the window. And outside the noise from the construction is insane!! So you have to choose if you want to sleep or the air to breathe. I stayed in a nice large room on the second floor and had zero sleep because of the noise.
The breakfast for 28€ is quite low quality, really looks bad and tastes like if they are using cheap ingredients.

Amazing cathedral view (200 points!)!
Spotless room condition.
Prompt service (room service, housekeeping).
Friendly staff (all staff, including the front desk).
If I ever come back to Barcelona, I'll definitely book the same room again.
Above all, I'm really grateful to Marco and the other hotel staff for arranging a room with a direct cathedral view.
Being in the city center, it's a 10-15 minute walk or less than a 20-minute taxi ride to any famous restaurant or tourist attraction.
There's also an eyewear store and the famous churros spot, Xurreria, near the hotel.
Plus, there's a large market open late, so it was great to grab some instant noodles!

The room was quite spacious, located on a corner. However, the windows were useless; there was ongoing construction directly across the alley, barely 3 meters away, so I essentially never opened the curtains. If you're going to stay at this hotel, definitely choose one of the rooms facing the cathedral for a view. Otherwise, don't bother; it's just not worth the money.

We booked an Executive room with a balcony for our honeymoon. The room lacked in bed size because we were looking for one king/queen bed, but instead, got a room with two double beds put together. The toilet was visible to anyone standing near the door because it is frosted glass. The outside balcony was the best thing because it wrapped around the top floor. The staff was nice, but not overly friendly. The elevators were very small and cannot hold more than 3 or possibly 4 people at a time. The bar upstairs on the 7th floor cannot be accessed by stairs. The location, however, is wonderful.

Had a great experience. The staff were amazing. Special thx to Jamie and Carlos who were the highlight of our experience. They were incredibly friendly and helpful. They were the best!! I also want to thank little Eva, Jean Paul, Abdullah, Anouar and lastly Gustavo who was kind enough to get us to the train station.

The Lamaro is a great spot in the heart of the Gothic Quarter. We arrived straight from the cruise port and were able to check in early- Thank you to Jamie at the front desk for the warm welcome. The location is unbeatable, and our balcony offered a great view of the Cathedral and the lively square below. The room was comfortable and well-stocked with various toiletries, bottled water, coffee, and chocolates. The breakfast buffet was outstanding, with everything from mimosas and fresh fruit to empanadas and pastries- There was something for everyone. The rooftop bar was a highlight, where we enjoyed tapas and drinks while watching the La Mercè fireworks from our table. Some construction noise and thin walls were noticeable, and the room had a faint smoke smell throughout the day, but overall, the service, comfort, and location made this a fantastic stay that I’d gladly repeat.
