Jon Cake is just a 3-minute walk from one shop and a 10-minute walk from another. Note that one shop only offers whole cakes, while the other, a bit further away, offers slices in various flavors.
The overall decor is very retro and stylish. The prices reflect both the perceived luxury and the location, but hotels in the area tend to be more expensive during peak season, which is understandable.
The only thing I would say to potential guests is: the mattresses are very firm!! For some people this is preferable, but for me it made it hard to sleep while I was there. The staff did offer extra duvets to put onto the mattress, but it didn't make very much of a difference. Hopefully they will get toppers soon to ensure all guests can sleep comfortably.
I really liked the newly renovated hotel‘s interior design. Super stylish and modern, especially the bibliotheca and the restaurant. A very warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout the whole stay - very nice scents in the whole hotel!
The staff were very friendly and attentive and made us feel welcomed.
The gym has everything you need and is well equipped!
We also enjoyed nice dinner and drinks at Volta and the brunch on Sunday was super tasty with amazing Oysters, pasta and the best desserts!
Definitely recommend this hotel for your stay in Barcelona since it is close to the most important sights and the beach.
