Hostal San Telmo - Adults Only in Palma

Super arrogant owner, shouts at you. Some romms don't even have windows outside, simply to the hallway. Do not recommend.

Staff member, possibly the owner is so rude. She shouted about using the public toilet at reception, claiming i made a mess ( a tiny amount of water, after getting out of the pool). Then shouted at me for moving sun loungers, which was to get into the shade. Do not give her your money. She does not deserve it. She has no respect for her guests. She gives Mallorca a bad name. Thankfully other locals we met were nice.

The owner, staff member was nice at the beginning, but after two days was totally rude and very unpleasant. This is no way to treat a paying customer. She complained about me using the public toilet and also about me moving sun loungers by the pool.

We paid £700 for a small ratty room with no A/C or fridge in 35 degrees heat. It’s a joke.

In general everything looks and feels quite old and outdated. Maybe a good renovation will boost this place but atm it’s definitely not worth the price. Bathroom is tiny but at least clean. Bed is uncomfortable and sheets seem very old.

We haven’t had issues with staff so can’t tell if they’re rude as mentioned in other reviews. However they don’t speak the greatest of English so communication could be an issue if it’s needed - this isn’t necessarily the worst thing

After returning from dinner, we found one cockroach at the front door. Then, after searching the entire room and luggage, we found a total of 8. Additionally, there was a centipede in the shower. we tried to contact the reception by phone, no one was picking up. We spent the night on the pool loungers. the next day we tried to calmly explain the situation to the owner of the hostel by showing pictures. The lady at check in was very nice. When we came with the problem, the Lady showed her true face. She said it was our fault because we had food in the room and cockroaches and centipedes were a normal thing as there is a forest next door. We explained that we threw out the food right away when we saw that there was no fridge in the room. The lady did not want to listen to us, we did not get a full refund for two nights. The argument was that the luggage was in the room. Despite the fact that we slept outside. I strongly advise against staying at this hostel despite the wrong first good impression. The lady's approach was "don't like it, please find another hotel".
