The positives:
- top location, very close to the main train/bus station and to the old town's main street.
- very good air condition
- very comfortable, large bed
- no reception staff (=you don't have to talk to anyone)
The negatives:
- very unstable internet
- black ants in the restroom
- dust on the shelves
- it can get noisy in the evenings, as the acoustic insulation is quite poor.
All things considered, the place is doable and has some old-time charm, but it is definitely overpriced.
very shabby entrance. very small room and ridiculously uncomfortble bathroom arrangements. couldn't have a window open at night because the room was practically in the alley way. therefore uncomfortably hot in the bedroom but freezing in the toilet area.
The shower was in the bedroom which some people might find a bit odd.
Would definitely stay here again, excellent value for money.
Also, the windows open into the busy narrow streets, so, if you want to take a nap outside of 10 pm - 8 am, you'd need to wear ear plugs.
In short, I was completely satisfied, it's an awesome place for history/art/culture buffs and language geeks, but it's not the kind of an hotel where you have a great view from the window.
Great location, easy to find and lovely room. Plenty hot water and shampoo and shower gel provided, great for light luggage travellers.
By far the best thing about this hotel is its fantastic location, close to the centre of Palma Old town
Don't expect 5 star - you aren't paying 5 star prices.
It's clean and tidy, needs a little updating in some areas.
