Rooms are of a decent size, with plenty of toilets and showers... Which are ancient and dirty. I have really not enjoyed showering during my 2 nights stay. Oh, and toilets in the rooms must have old plumbing as there are signs asking you to not flush toilet paper.

Bathrooms are small can barely fit in the shower and there is mold on the bathroom ceiling. Rooms are okay. Front desk people are rude and don't really help with any questions you have. Only good thing is free breakfast

Hostel is adequate. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, although the rooms are rather small, and internet didn't quite work in the room. It's also not the most comfortable hostel bed I have slept in. On the other hand the location is excellent.

This hostel was a phenomenal value! The location is ideal, in a very safe and vibrant area that isn't too touristic. The daily breakfast was terrific and the rooms and bathrooms were very clean! The atmosphere is social and meeting new friends is relatively easy. When I revisit Madrid, I will return to Barbieri. Your money won't go further!

I want to start my review by praising the magnificent service provided by Fabio. I work in customer service and was amazed by his attitude and his genuine, kind charisma. Nothing was too much to ask, and I have nothing but words of gratitude for him. Regarding the accommodation, everything was very clean and pleasant, with clear rules for a comfortable stay. The terrace and common areas were very nice, and not to mention the location close to everything. A huge thank you to the entire team; it was a very good experience.

I had no cause to complain. Everything was fine. It's centrally located, which is convenient. It has nice views. There are a lounge and terrace available for all guests to use. The windows in the rooms were made from a very strong glass material, meaning no sound from outside was audible inside. This was especially useful when going to sleep whilst the Spanish nightlife persisted outside.

We keep coming back when in Madrid. The hostel is right in the middle of the city with a big terrace overlooking old town Madrid, priceless. The rooms are good and everyone from the team is always making sure we are enjoying our stay by giving us great recommendations on restaurants, bars, shows, gyms, places to visit, etc. Management is always on the premises so one gets a sense of one-on-one service. We have had great times while visiting Madrid and staying at Barbieri Sol Hostel, so we highly recommend it.

Today they canceled a reservation made months before and offered it to me at double the price. Unreliable, don't trust them. Zero customer support and attention. Unfortunately I can't give less than one star. If you want to visit Madrid don't book this hostel

We were in a room of 4 with a nice and clean ensuite shower and toilet. Very helpful and friendly staff who are available from 8am to midnight. Nice and relaxed atmosphere in a central location. Because of this it can be a bit noisy when you're trying to sleep.

Really disappointed by the poor beer selection here. Food was average, place is nice. Likely not coming back.

Was expecting a craft beer place. Rather disappointed with the choice. Service was efficient but not fantastic. Food rather greasy and heavy but overall good for the price. Could easily improve with a larger selection of beers and a bit more friendliness.
