InterContinental Madrid by IHG in Madrid

We had a truly wonderful stay at the InterContinental Madrid. From the moment we arrived, we were delighted to be upgraded to a beautiful suite with full access to the Club Lounge, an unexpected and very generous surprise that immediately set the tone for our stay.
The experience was made even more special as we were celebrating my partner’s birthday. The hotel went above and beyond by arranging a thoughtful surprise in the room: a bottle of cava, a cake and chocolates, all beautifully presented. It was such a lovely touch and made the celebration feel genuinely special.
The service throughout was warm, attentive and professional, and the Club Lounge was a real highlight. This was a memorable stay and a fantastic example of how small, thoughtful gestures can make a big difference. We wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Came here for the brunch. The staff weee quite helpful, the food was exceptional. My kid, took part in the cooking class, they had great fun. We got a cocktail, where the barman showed us how to make it. Overall my experience was exceptional

Although the hotel is a bit old-fashioned, it's clean, tidy, and has a warm, festive Christmas atmosphere. The front desk and lobby staff are incredibly welcoming and friendly. My room had a terrace, offering beautiful views of Madrid city during sunrise and sunset. The floor attendant was exceptional; if I missed the cleaning time, she'd thoughtfully leave her cart by my door so I could grab water and supplies myself. She really went above and beyond! It's also very convenient to explore the commercial district and large supermarkets nearby. I'll definitely stay here again next time!

Upon walking in, you can already tell this hotel takes their service seriously. The staff at the door is very welcoming, along with everyone else inside. During check in, we were given a complimentary upgrade. I was expecting a slightly bigger room or bathroom and did not expect the suite-like room (we were in 406)! It was such a wonderful surprise walking in to a luxurious room after a one-month long backpacking trip across Europe. We have had mixed experiences in hotels across Europe and this is by far the best we’ve stayed at. From the complimentary water, handwritten note, and even the personalized welcome message on the TV! I also loved how the bathroom was supplied with actual toiletries! The best part is the enormous bed and great ventilation in the room and restroom. We have 1 more night before we finally return home and I am actually sad because it’s been an amazing experience at this hotel so far. Oh, it’s also very close to train stations and eateries. Approximately 15-20+ mins. Will definitely stay here again if we return to Madrid! Thank you to the staff who have made our final European destination an amazing experience.

It was a wonderful experience, Hotel's persons were outstanding: Carlos the doorman was just great, incredibly useful, kind and very nice. Deyanira at the Club was perfect and always taking care of our minimum needs in a very gracious way. Susana, Clara and Laura at the Club were outstanding. At the Concierge Andres, Ricardo, Daniel and tge others were wonderful. We have stayed in excellent Hotels all over the world but the Intercontinental Hotel Via Castellana Madrid was an unforgetable experience. Congratulations to the General Director Mr. G. Vincelli for the wonderful crew He has. When in Madrid the Intercontinental Hotel Via Castellana will be our Hotel.

The breakfast was pretty good, but the mini fried dough sticks were all gone if you went a bit later 😭

I loved everything about this stay! The check-in was smooth. My status was immediately recognized. I was upgraded to a presidential suite from a standard room. The front desk staff went above and beyond to be helpful. The breakfast was delicious too. The staff was able to accommodate my vegan wife and make her a tofu scramble. My wife and I loved everything about this stay. We wished we could've stayed longer!

Best beds in Madrid ! The rooms are super cozy and comfortable; this is a classic in Madrid , understated luxury. Great for long stays , work or leisure.
