If it is the first time you want to visit Madrid and you have no idea which hotel can meet your expectations, stop searching! Here is the right place! From beginning to finish I had a nice experience. Friendly staff, fantastic breakfast, very clean rooms, inspired by vintage style. Thank you so much for everything!

After 2 years of waiting, we were finally able to stay at this hotel. Professional and courteous staff and quiet rooms. We had a club room as we were upgraded due to my status. The rooms definitely could use some upgrading and the mattress was very firm to us so it made it hard to sleep. Our TV didn't work at all so would definitely need an upgrade. Would of also liked more control of the AC as the lowest setting was still a bit warm for us. Bathroom was great and the water got nice and hot. Internet worked well at all times. Breakfast was decent and we had a dinner at El Jardin that was decent. The location is nice and convenient, so we appreciated that very much. Great business hotel for those who want to get work done in peace and quiet. Solid property!

Here is how I rate hotel, three stars when it meet expectations, four stars if it deliver stellar service, and five stars mean the hotel and staff deliver an extraordinary service. Intercontinental hotel is a two stars and definitely not anywhere close to five stars. I hold platinum/ambassador status with ihg/intercontinental brand so I do tend to stay at their brand and travel 90 days plus a year so I know hotels. Checking in was normal but I was asked if I would like a plate of fruits or savory for being an ambassador and I told them savory. It was never delivered. Wifi is free at this hotel but it doesn't work properly. It work great for ten minutes then stop. It was difficult trying to book our train tickets. By the time it went through our train tickets went up by 100 euros! If I was on a business trip I would have been very mad because there is no way you could get any work done here. When checking online at this hotel there was suppose to be a direct metro service to the city center unfortunately there wasn't one so you'll have to take a cab each time if you want to go down there. This was not mentioned at all on the site. The hotel itself is a bit dated, comfortable but definitely not luxurious. If we were staying longer then two days we would have moved to another hotel. Base on the above, the hotel did not meet expectations so the two stars. There are many wonderful choices in Madrid. Do yourself a favor and book another place.

Great location. The Metro is just 2 minutes walk. I'm staying with my grandaughter and we have both enjoyed our meals in the restaurant where you get some surprising extras that are most welcome. I also like the fact if you have drink in the bar it comes with nuts, crisps and olives. Superb service.
