The Cervantes Hotel left a pleasant impression. The rooms were modest and not very new, but clean and tidy. The rooms were cleaned and towels were changed every day. We enjoyed the breakfast, which included fresh orange juice, excellent coffee, and one of the traditional Spanish snacks. The staff was responsive and friendly.

Spent two nights here, and I’m more than satisfied - it’s clean, the location is great, I have never had a better internet anywhere before… Definitely I would consider this place again

Do not bother… it’s dirty and stinks of smoke! I reached out to them and sent photos of proof yet they are choosing to ignore it completely with not even an apology!

I would rate 3.5
The position was amazing, very central and close to everything. The people working there were also very nice and also available to suggestions.
Sheets and towels were clean but the rest of the room was cleaned in an approximate way. Also, the room are quite noisy and unfortunately there was smell of smoke the whole time in the corridor.
Breakfast consists in a sort of voucher for the cafè inside the hotel. It consisted in a choice of hot beverage, croissant or sandwich and a juice. Was ok but not the best, might not be enough if someone is used to a bigger breakfast.
Overall, I would recommend this hotel as the position is really amazing, and there’s good value for money

I've stayed in the Cervantes for over 15 years and have never felt let down. There used to be occasional events like flimsy fixtures and fittings falling apart but other than a slightly loose toilet seat this time there were no surprises. Except for the shower, which was more powerful than ever! It seems to have been modernised without any obvious changes; perhaps it's the new paint job. As ever it is as clean as you might expect at a 5-star establishment. You could eat your paella off the floor. The Cervantes is about as central to everything that is happening in the city centre as you could wish for, Some people complain about the breakfast (juice, croissant or toast and coffee) but the value is only EUR3.50, you can always order another croissant! I can't fault Antonio and the staff for their friendliness. It really is a feeling of being 'home from home'. Realistically I think it could push for a 3 Star rating now. I know that like all the other hotels in the city it suffered badly in the pandemic. Hence while prices have gone up considerably in the last few years that is understandable. Still very good value for money.

Hotel Cervantes is centrally located in Alicante and close to public parking which is secure and excellent value. We were able to check in early as we drove from Javea and you never know what the traffic will be like on the way. Staff were very helpful and the room was comfortable and clean, perfect for an overnight stay before flying. We were able t9 leave our luggage after checking out to collect a couple of hours later. There is a small cafe/bar attached to the hotel which is handy for snacks of drinks. We will definitely stay again.

Simple, clean and in a great location. This is a fairly simple facility, so don’t expect grand measures, but everything met our needs. We are traveling with our 24 year old daughter, so we were placed in a room with four beds. There was enough room for a small desk and two side chairs, as well as a closet/bureau plus nightstands. The room was compact (and the bathroom was positively tight!), but the room was clean and quite comfortable. As it is very hot in Alicante in July, we were worried about the AC, but it was more than up to the task, which was a relief. The only negative was very limited outlets for charging devices. Best yet was *exceptional* service. When we arrived there was a screw up with our reservations (NOT the fault of our hotel nor of us, but due to the snafu in the booking system which placed us at another Hotel Cervantes in another city—despite booking the hotel we are in!). The upshot was that we had no reservation. This was late in the day; hotels were posting ‘no vacancy’ left and right. I was very worried that we would be sleeping in our car or needing to get a room for 500 euros or more for the one night. The check-in clerk (Señor Facundo) was absolutely amazing in helping us out. After spending 15 minutes coming to the realization that indeed, we did not have a reservation, he ran outside twice to help my husband figure out how to park in the area, booked us the last room in the hotel, ran outside again to save us the perfect free parking spot that was visible from his desk (!), and then helped us to find a great place for dinner. Truly, his help was extraordinary! The location is great if you are not focused on the beaches. We walked all over and found it easy to explore and to get around without difficulty. The tram is just a few blocks away. Plus you are next to the old town, and blocks from the castle. We did go down to the Esplanade, and spent time at the beach in the evening (the beach was packed, even after dark!), but only waded in the water. There are free showers with fresh water and there are lockers you can rent for your valuables at the beach, which is nice. Just be aware that you will need to bring your own towels.

After 1 year living in Alicante, we can confidently agree that this is the best restaurant around.. and that's a difficult call to make since there are so many wonderful restaurants around!! Make a reservation for a more formal dinner or sit downstairs for the casual experience.. no booking required ?

Fantastic restaurant, we hired the private dining room for a double stag party (around 30 of us). The service was superb-the waiters were extremely attentive and food and drinks were served promptly. The food was plentiful, with many options available to cater for any appetite. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
