Lay by the pool enjoying the sun with a view of the sea and beach was beautiful. Very relaxed environment and staff at the bar are very well trained in making great cocktails and all bar staff were very pleasant

My stay at Meliá Alicante was unfortunately very disappointing, despite the hotel’s excellent location. The setting is truly beautiful, right by the sea, and that is probably the only highlight of my experience

You can choose Sea view or Port view and both will provide you a good view for sure. Hotel Staff is really helpful and kind

The hotel called ahead to confirm our bed requirements as we were arriving late, which was really appreciated- thank you Claudia! The bar has great sea views as does the (small) outdoor pools

Great hotel overlooking the port in Alicante and with fantastic panoramic sea views. Breakfast had a good selection and included freshly squeezed orange juice which was a nice touch

I must admit, I was initially hesitant to book a stay at this hotel, with a rating of 4. However, the photos looked very promising, and the location seemed ideal, so I decided to trust my instincts—and I’m so glad I did

However, as I have some mobility issues, a handrail on the 3 steps and/or short steep slope necessary to get to the lift would have been a great help

My husband and I loved our 13 nights stay at SERAWA. The staff was very professional, kind and caring. The breakfast buffet was great. We especially enjoyed their Christmas lunch and New Year's Eve dinner specials

Still, the whole process was done without a smile and with a rather strange, unhelpful attitude. It felt at first almost like a threat that I might not get my belongings back, which was very unpleasant

Our main priority was location as we wanted to explore the castle, and we found that the start of the trail up was just about five minutes away, there was also a tram station nearby, we could easily walk from the beachside to the hotel, and there was a big shopping centre not too far away from the hotel

The hotel was clean and the bedroom comfortable - I didn’t want to get out of bed it was too comfy!! The food was good! Plenty of vegan options in the evening but not so much for breakfast although there was lots of fruit and toast which was great

The staff is professional, helpful and speaks English well. Rooms clean, well stocked. Cleaned daily and the cleaning ladies very nice not imposing. I highly recommend this hotel.

Very clean. Great location with a bus stop right outside to take you to the centre or the old town. Room was great, comfy bed and good shower. Would definitely stay here again

Got the room towards the back (It has a large balcony, but the sea view is really just very partial) Still, the room, was spotless clean. Beds were ok comfy, not great, not terrible

If i lay in bed and have the shower door open it's like u have ur neighbour's inside ur room. And the breakfast is very basic but still OK

Just returned tonight from the city of Alicante where we stayed at Gran Sol affiliated by Melia, (we read the reviews before we traveled and our fears were gone as we arrived at the reception yesterday (this is a twenty storey plus 1970s tower) but the service and the room we stayed at made our city break most enjoyable

Reception where really helpful and were checked in without fuss and straight to our room on the 20th floor, we uplifted to a sea view for not a lot

This is a budget priced hotel and people need to set their expectations accordingly. If you are looking to spend a lot of time in the hotel then this isn’t the place for you Because it doesn’t have those amenities

Beautiful view for the sea, tennis court available, easy to go to the city (by one bus, bus stop close to the hotel). We asked for ice cubes to take to room and iron, it was given to us without a problem

Hotel was clean. Rooms were good. Parking was handy and free. 20-30 mins walk from he all main places. Hotel keeps security deposit in form of credit card too. Which was not normal . No other hotel kept the deposit.

The hotel got a very good location in between the town centre and the airport, around 15-20mins walk to the centre. Clean toilet, comfy beds, nice staffing, match the price. Overall it was a great experience.

We shipped our motorcycles from Australia so to get them damaged in a car park of a hotel brand we have trusted for many years is both a sadness and a huge disappointment. The security gate only worked on the first night

The parking spot the van was in was not a designated parking area for any vehicle as it was painted red. There are big signs everywhere to park in the right parking spots or receive a hefty fine

The second night there were a number of cars coming in and out almost patrolling at around 3am clearly not residents. Third night there was a bang but couldn’t see what happened

Fourth night van came in at midnight and hit the bikes which set off the alarms and had the whole hotel awake. They clearly just ran in to the hotel and knew exactly what they’d done

Good rooms great staff but a little out of town which is no problem if you have your own car (free parking on site)

Nothing too much to fault inside the hotel which was clean and comfortable, except maybe the limited dinner menu

First time stay, the room is clean, location perfect if you do not want to miss your flight, but you can take a bus to city just next door, however, there is no water or kettle / glass cup even inside the room! These are nothing compared to the room cost

Shower room sliding door was not straight and partially hanging off - no floor restraint so could be pushed away from its frame (it wobbled to and from the wall). Poor soundproofing so others closing doors was quite loud

The hotel staff were great and really friendly, but the rooms themselves weren't very clean inside. There was also a water issue when showering; the water wouldn't drain, so it would accumulate for quite a while

Shower room curtain didn't reach floor so the whole floor of room was wet. Shower handle wall bracket did not allow tilting, so water only sprayed across to curtain and much too high up for us (under 6ft tall)

it was just okay for what you expect for the price. good location if you have to catch an early flight at the airport nearby. the breakfast was not worth the money you pay for it though

No idea why this hotel is only 3 stars - from the last detail and design to the wonderful service and truly amazing breakfast, this hotel is probably the best place to stay if you want to be a 2 minute walk from the beach

We could not fault the hotel at all , lovly staff and so helpfull , the reception team were great rooms cleaned everyday with fresh towels . The tram is 5mins walk away can get you anywhere 5 stars from us

Our first room was on the first floor, and the entire floor reeked of *********. The front desk kindly moved us to a higher floor room facing the main road, which was just as clean and tidy

Stayed in this hotel for 5 days and had a very good experience. The staff was polite and welcoming. The bathroom only had shower gel and water and a plastic cup for washing, but no toothbrush or toothpaste

This is a nice little hotel in a great location. We were able to walk to the port, old town etc. Street parking was easily available, not free but 1. 80E for two hours plus after 8pm to morning was free

It's not a five star hotel but I gave five stars because for the price it has almost everything you need. Our room was not huge but it was adequate. Comfortable bed, good shower, and very clean

It is easy to get here from Alicante airport whether by bus or taxi. We love the location as everything we need is walkable and it is very close to the centre of Alicante for cafes and shops

The hotel is spotlessly clean and the rooms are spacious and well equipped with a fridge, toiletries etc. There is a complimentary safe in the room which is very useful

As it is very hot in Alicante in July, we were worried about the AC, but it was more than up to the task, which was a relief. The only negative was very limited outlets for charging devices

Spent two nights here, and I’m more than satisfied - it’s clean, the location is great, I have never had a better internet anywhere before… Definitely I would consider this place again

Sheets and towels were clean but the rest of the room was cleaned in an approximate way. Also, the room are quite noisy and unfortunately there was smell of smoke the whole time in the corridor

The room itself was modern and spacious including a large smart tv, drinks fridge and some really comfortable pillows! The location was perfect right in the centre so could explore everything we wanted to just walking, there is also a lovely gelato place a couple doors down from the hotel

Just had a 3 day stay here and it served it's purpose. Had fridge and kettle/cups in room. No spoon or milk/coffee/tea but took our own. We were not disturbed by any noise. Hanging rail for clothes and storage shelves

Located nearby to shops, supermarket, cafe and the promenade. No view from window but we didn't go away to look out of a window. Reception was manned every time we came in or out

Location is nearby beach, centre of Allicante ,supermarkets and ample of restaurants! Parking available at hotel for 10 euro fee. Pool towels can be picked up at reception and pool has plenty of seating area

They were on hot plates or under lights but something clearly needs to be turned up. Fix that and the hotel is just about flawless! Many thanks to all the staff for making us feel so welcome

Breakfast in particular was excellent and both breakfast/dinner had a fantastic choice of hot and cold options. My only criticism of the restaurant is that all the hot meals were lukewarm

The room was big cozy clean and a big tv with English channels also. The staff is so nice and helpful and everything is spot on clean and perfect

I had a lovely, relaxing break this hotel, the location was a little inconvenient, couldn’t get the city centre hotel for my dates, apart from that I’m thoroughly pleased, think this is my 4th or 5th b b hotel stay.

I was personally happy with it. 🍳🥐☕ However, one thing surprised us: there was no drinking water provided in the rooms. If you wanted water, you had to go down to the reception area to buy it

Staff at reception was friendly and helpful. It is bit difficult to get a bus for this location, bus from airport to alicante goes ever 20 mins but it charges double the local bus rate
