Great staff and environment. The walking tours are grouped with other hostels so potential to meet lots of people. Clean and comfy beds. Rooms were a bit cramped but other then that, no complaints

Good location. Clean. Good size kitchen.
Asked them to turn the a/c but woke up in a pool of sweat. Walking tour was rubbish. Very disorganised. No atmosphere here neither. Checked out because they were doing mass bookings and definitely don't want to stay where groups of 50 and 40 are running amuck.

Clean hostel, well located. The staff was nice and available. They offer free walking tour through the historic side of the city and it was really interesting

I only stayed one night in this hostel but in general my experience was pretty good. Purple nest Hostel has an appropriate location nearby the downtown. The room in which I stayed in was smaller than I expected but it was OK. The room has two beds, a little nightstand and closet. There are some shared bathrooms. They lend us some bath towels and soap. They even gave us a little funny souvenir. The bathrooms are OK... Nothing incredible. In conclusion, I have no regrets. I had a good time there. It is a little bit expensive but I recommend it. I'll be probably back.

The staff is very welcoming and helpful. Close to the city center and attractions. The common area is clean and large, allowing for socializing. Various activities are offered every evening by the staff. The dorm bed is comfortable and the curtains provide privacy.
On the downside, the shower doors are too small, barely able to pass through (perhaps the locking system or the direction should be changed).
Overall, a very good hotel, I recommend it.

Everything was great, good customer service, the room was clean and smelled good, and the price was affordable and fits perfectly into your budget. I would recommend it "YES".

Be super careful booking with this hotel as even if you are forced to cancel because your flight lands into a natural disaster and you have medical conditions that prohibit landing in such conditions, they will not cancel your booking. I had to cancel, gave heaps of notice and they still refused to cancel despite them being in the middle of a natural disaster zone where I was advised by my client on the ground that public transport was crowded and hard to access due to the flood. The staff i dealt with prior to the flood via email were rude and short. I wasn't even able to give the booking to my client trapped on the ground. Just disgraceful. Be warned.

31.12; we wanted to dine for new years eve with local friends. But it was very smelly (maybe broken air con? Broken toilettes? But seems to be like that always, a friend suggested according the reaction of the staff) in the front area. I mean, really stinky. I am a smoker and usually the one who is smelly.
We had a reserved table and asked (yes, gently :-)) to be relocated to the back where it was much less smelly. Altough, free tables in the back area, we left without dinner. And no explanation from staff or an excuse. This, to be honest, is not what I am used to, to a restaurant of this reputation and I would personaly not recommend to visit this place. Never Ever.

Really good. Definitely order starters: the mains are very good but not huge. Rubber duck great.
