All in all the Hostel was totally fine. In the beginning nobody knew who we were and where to put us and also during the stay there was not really staff. Then we got a private room, even though we booked a dorm, it was the same price, so good for us. The building is huge and you feel a little lost because there was nobody else there, so I wouldn‘t recommend staying there alone, but if you are 2 or more people it’s totally fine. Room was clean, it‘s pretty loud at night but you should know that because of the location.

I don't recommend it at all. I arrived at 10 p.m. and when The receptionist wanted to receive double the amount under the pretext that it should include breakfast, but I canceled this offer.

The hostel owner was really nice and helped us where needed, however the hostel itself I would not recommend. The cheaper rooms were not really clean, no hot water and was on the side of the building next to the street, which made it feel like my bed was in the middle of a night club. We moved to the more expensive room which was really nice but the noise reduced but was still very present.

As for us as a family with a baby, we loved the place, very near to the train station, on the main road. Clean and Spacious rooms. Very kind and friendly staff. Delicious Breakfast. Breathtaking view on the mountains and greenery.
The only issues we faced, there are no kettles in the rooms, and no phones to order, you need to do go yourself down to the restaurant and get it. Also, lots of stairs to climb, but we survived! In general we loved it!

We stayed one night after long bike ride.I really recommend this place to others because it is situated in heart of Ella town.They have own restaurant and also we can take food from outside.Room condition also really good.Enjoy!!!

Caretaker is not friendly at all. He seems to be a cunning person who gives different answers to same question, depending on the person who asks the question. Overpriced place. You can find same facilities for a lower price.

It's a good location right in town but it is very noisy at night time. So if you're a light sleeper, I wouldn't recommend.

Excellent hotel! For under 20USD (3250SLR) You can have a very clean hotel experience in Ella which is generally an expensive city by Sri Lankan standards.
No free breakfast though but food is so cheap in Ella. Great view of the city on the 3rd floor. You are across from Chill which is a great place for drinks. There's a spa. Nuff said.
