This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Firstly, they advertise a free shuttle service. However, they refused to collect us from the nearby railway station, which added over an hour to our journey due to heavy traffic. The driver would only agree to pick us up from a busy road side . It was pitch black, the traffic was horrendous, and there was a huge open ditch. Transferring ourselves and our luggage to the driver's car was extremely dangerous. Worse still, the hotel driver was drinking wine directly from a bottle while driving us. We were terrified. He couldn’t speak any English, so we couldn’t communicate with him at all. To reach the hotel, you have to climb an extremely steep incline. It’s far too steep for an ordinary car or tuk-tuk to handle. The hotel pool was surrounded by dirty glass screens. There was no shade or wind protection, making it virtually unusable. The hotel towels were stained and full of holes. There were no fans in the rooms, and it was unbearably noisy day and night. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and strongly advise travelers to avoid it.

The Morning Dew has a superb vantage point over Ella. Guests need not worry about the steep winding narrow road up to the hotel as they have a very obliging transport service up and down all day from 6:30 am. The staff at Morning Dew are all very helpful and polite. The rooms are well appointed and very comfortable mattresses and pillows. The real surprise is the roof top bar and restaurant. The menu is extensive and I had a dish from the grill which was superb.

Stayed at the hotel for 1 night Location is at the top of the hill, there is a truck that comes to take you up and down the hill that runs until 6pm, thereafter tuktuk or walk, I recommend a tuktuk! Great location as when you reach the bottom you are on the main ***** in Ella with lots of shops, bars and restaurant choices. The hotel itself is dated however spacious and clean with great views. Service was good, and it was really appreciated that 3 staff woke up at 3am to ensure we check out and get a tuktuk safely to the bottom and also provided breakfast boxes for our journey. Note - if you are booking with *********** be careful, the reservation was initially for 2 nights but cancelled because it would not accept any cards to hold the booking, despite the hotel confirming I can pay in cash on arrival. I ended up changing plans and only booking for 1 night due to last minute availability.

Made a wonderful honeymoon experience. Clean. Beautiful. Worth coming and enjoying the views as well as cocktail hour. Very attentive.

Overall the staff were great, very helpful and friendly. Beautiful setting and environment. My room could have done with new towels.🤔 The chefs in the mornings were very obliging to serve me gluten free meals. Thank you chefs for being so considerate🤗😊🙏🏽
