Nice quiet place with nice service

Sunrise Palace Negombo is about 30 minutes north of the airport. We had a late flight arrival and were met at the airport and safely whisked away to the hotel. We were quickly checked in - a very comfortable beds, clean room and fan/aircon. The neighbourhood was quiet. Breakfast of fruit, toast, egg, sausages and tea was enjoyed on the balcony. We were very well looked after during our short stay.

I really liked everything, the breakfasts were good. The hosts were kind and welcoming. There was always bottled water. You can always ask for something, and they'll fulfill it. Everything was great.

We had a nice stay at this place. The rooms were spacious and clean, the food was delicious, and the service was excellent. The pool was also well maintained. The house was impeccably clean and our group of 10 people had a good stay. The kitchen staff were very helpful. They also accommodated a slightly late departure after our morning safari, even though they had a new group arriving later that afternoon. The home has a nice pool and the grounds are kept manicured.

I think this was my least favourite hotel in Sri Lanka. The carpet in the bedroom was filthy and needs replacing. The breakfast was very so so. The view is very pleasant. The first night there was a concert below the hotel near the lake which penetrated the walls so I needed ear plugs.

The least great place on our trip, the hotel in the city center. The air conditioning didn't work. The breakfast was exceptional and the staff was great. In the morning we were able to see an elephant passing in the street 5 meters from us. The only one during our stay in the city.

I had such a great experience staying at Dorset! The room was cute and cozy, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. It felt like a perfect start to my trip. The family running the place was so warm and friendly. They helped me plan my day and even taught me a few Sinhala phrases, which was so much fun. The host was very friendly, and the breakfast was truly incredible. Beds are firm, and sleep lovely. Airco and mosquito net against the mosquitoes made for a quit night sleep. We also got some tips what to do and see, but we only stayed for a short while and thus could not see everything they recommended. They also offer a good taxi service from the airport to the hotel.

Located in the hills but I short commute to the city’s restaurants and shopping, this hotel provides affordable accommodation in a beautiful area of the city. The staff are welcoming and friendly and can’t do enough for you. The room was clean and tidy, beds comfortable and had nice shower facilities. The buffet breakfast was quite nice and offered a good selection of fruits and hot food.

I stayed here for 2 nights and had a lovely stay. My room was large with a really comfortable bed, nice bathroom and great view. The breakfast was tasty and plentiful and was served in the rooftop restaurant. There is also a small outside swimming pool which unfortunately I didn't get the chance to use.

A very nice place for a group of friends to unwind and relax. Ambience/cleanliness is good. Staffs are polite. Food was good. The restaurant was under renovation so we had only breakfast which was good. Bread is a staple diet for Sri Lanka. Bread was crispy and toasted well. The fresh juices served was also good. It's across the street from Coconut Hill in Mirissa. It's just a few minutes' walk to the beach. The night view is beautiful, and in the morning you can see crabs and mudskippers on the rocks. You can wade across the water to reach the small island.

Our guide organised a birthday lunch at this beautiful hotel. They served the best Sri Lanka’n curry we’ve had in our 3 week trip to the island. The staff was very nice and made the experience fantastic. Absolutely worth a visit👌

Not worth for money but good staffs

Nice hôtel with good rooms and location. But we had 2 issues there : 1/ a lot of noise due to unexpected roof top party, we have asked to stop twice the music , it was not respectful!!! 2/ we have been at 8:30 at the breakfast and all the other clients have been already , almost nothing left to eat. We needed to ask to get some more.

Nice spot on the beach. The room was basic but did the job as we were only stopping over for a couple of nights. The attached restaurant was great and not too noisy. We enjoyed dinner on the first night; lovely atmosphere.

The location is perfect. The ocean is right in front, and there's a restaurant attached, so it's a great place to go at night for its atmosphere. However, there are... a few bugs. I was showering and a weasel crawled out of the drain, which was really scary... After seeing the weasel, the ants and mosquitoes in the room were nothing special :)

The hotel is so well located, right in the heart of mirissa and with direct access to the beach. We would spend our days in the ocean and come right back to our room to change. We spent our evenings enjoying the sunset from the beachfront restaurant.

We had wonderful stay at Misty Elegance, which is ideally located a gory walk from Ella Main Street. Despite this, it’s in credibility peaceful, with beautiful views and lovely rooms. Nothing Bh was too much trouble, and we slept like babies, drifting off to the sounds of the rain forest outside. Highly recommend staying here if you’re in Ella for a couple of days 😊

The water pressure was a little inconsistent and the temperature kept going back and forth as well but it wasn’t much of an issue as it didn’t last very long. Overall, good place to stay.

This resort is definetely worth recommending. There are a variety of rooms and the room we had was spacious and nicely decorated. There was a lamp and a small fridge and electici jug. The AC worked well and the pool was soooo amazing! We loved it here. The owner is on call if there are any communication issues and was happy to help with all our requests and questions.

We spent one night here. The bus station is very close, the sea is just down the street. There are a few restaurants nearby and a shop is not far away. Everything you need is there. The staff was very nice and happy to help.

The best esspreso in Sri Lanka!

We have included breakfast for the stay. Yet we booked the yala safari tour the next day which we have to leave the hotel at 5am. The manager is so nice and helpful that he allows us either to takeaway our breakfast or have it after we back. The location is great, around half an hour to yala safari national park.

Yala Golden Wild, a pleasant house with beautiful pool, ever ready to help staff. Rooms are spacious and clean, beds comfy, shower water a good pressure. Breakfast was delicious. We stayed 2 nights and will recommend those who are doing Yala National Park Safari to choose starting there.

The overall feel was like a guesthouse, but the breakfast was quite plentiful.

The hotel is clean and hygienic. The hotel owners are a couple, and they are very friendly. Since I have to go to Yala National Park Safari in the morning, they let me have breakfast after I come back, which is very considerate. The hotel is not too far from the city center. You can walk back to the hotel in 45 minutes and enjoy the scenery along the way. The street snacks are also delicious.

Such a wonderful property, very well maintained! The guava drink provided during check-in was absolutely delicious. To take the experience to the next level, some improvements are needed in maintaining the bathroom fixtures and windows, as a few were damaged. Overall, it was a great experience.

We arrived at 8pm after our original accomodation fell through. Staff were able to accomodate us and made up a second room. We swam in the pool and enjoyed the beautiful views from the balconies. I had a lovely stay at Wild Haven. The location is stunning, many photo opportunities around the lagoon and butterfly garden. We were greeted by Eranda and Saheen, both very welcoming. We had delicious food and would recommend if you don’t mind being a little further out but in a peaceful setting.

We had an amazing experience in the tree houses at Wild Haven Dehigahaela. The view from the tree house deck was across a picturesque lake and trees beyond. The tree houses are built into the trees and was private and comfortable with all amenities. The staff and food were excellent. Back of beyond is right up there with the best of experiences! After a bumpy road we finally came to a relaxing haven with wonderful tree houses where we stayed a couple of nights. It was amazing to get that close to natur while still having a high level of comfort. Lying under the banana leaved roof listening to the wild life during the night was fantastic!
