Apart from the fact that the hotel is on the beach it's not an ideal location. Very few other bars or restaurants within walking distance. The staff were very friendly and able. The hotel itself is rather spartan and feels overt priced.

Last week we stayed at Celestial Inn Mirissa and had the pleasure of being looked after by Lakshan. His level of service was truly outstanding: always smiling, kind, helpful, and willing to assist at any moment. An absolute delight, both as a person and as a professional.

We stayed at the Celestial Inn for three nights and it was definitely one of the best hotels during our whole holiday in Sri Lanka. The hotel is very well located close to the main beach of Mirissa. We came for the early morning “Kiri Ahara Pujawa” at Dalada Maligawa and stayed at Kandy City Hotel for one night. They prepared Kiri Ahara for us early in the morning, and the staff was very helpful. The hotel has a superb location in the middle of the city, within walking distance of all the attractions.

Well, the hotel itself is okay, with a pool that has good views. Honestly, I booked it because it had good reviews and was on sale, but the room was really outdated. It had a lot of issues, like they tried to fix things without doing it properly, and the water pressure in the shower was barely there. This is one of the oldest hotels in Polhena , Matara. Though separated by the road it has access to Polhena beach. The hotel consists of rooms and two pools. A baby pool is available . A spacious location. Even if you are not a hotel resident, you can use the pool at a charge. Generally charge is LKR 600. A popular destination in Matara. Cleanliness might be an aspect working against the location....

Great place, delicious meals and even the hospitality was great. The rooms and the other facilities including the swimming pool were well maintained. They didn't have a specific menu but were willing to cook any meal we wanted and I'm not just talking about the Sri Lankan cuisine.

The place is right on the seaside, the beach is right outside the door, and the swimming pool is big enough. I like it. The service is very good, but the facilities are very old, which is about the same level as domestic guesthouses, or even worse.

I celebrated my birthday in Kandy, which was made especially nice by my stay at Clove Garden. The room was clean and cosy, the food was excellent, but above all, the staff were warm and welcoming, and made me feel at home. I definitely recommend staying here.

The current average review rating (3,7) does not reflect the reality in my opinion. We had a family room for one night, and it was very good. The garden is beautiful and the people are very helpful and their hospitality is great. The room did not have mosquito-nets, but if you bring your own they help you installing them. Breakfast is tasty and plentiful. I can definitely recommend the Clove Garden

We stayed in a family room which was very beautiful, spacious and clean (no klamboo). Also the garden, the courtyard and the swimming pool are beautiful, surrounded with flowers and plants. The service is truly fantastic. Everybody is so nice. The breakfast was great. The dinner (curry) was also very nice. It is a 10 min ride to the center of Kandy by TukTuk.

Two rooms to fit in our family of four, suited us perfectly. The hotel is a few minutes from the town centre, but that was probably a plus. It was quiet, with great views over the valley. The lovely people there gave us probably the best breakfast of our trip - hot, fresh to order and delivered with a huge smile.

Good view, nice breakfast, big room, come with heater and warmer, nice hospitality, we arrive at 1130pm so late, n they still need to help us checking in, hot water and tea provided

The family who runs the hotel is very friendly. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Wifi is available on every floor. The absolute Highlight is the Breakfast room: you sit on top of the building with windows to every side and you have a fantastic view on the mountains.

Superb hotel in a great location. Staff were friendly and helpful. Made use of the laundry service with no problems. Tourist attractions are all within walking distance.
