Pensive Villa is a most beautiful & calm location that I seen in Nuwara Eliya. It's situated near to Gregory Lake & you can get real experience of Nuwara Eliya weather. A good location if you have a car with the tea estates and lake in proximity. Good light if somewhat cold rooms that need a little maintenance from mould due to the climate. Basic breakfast included and overall excellent value. Limited English from staff.

Stayed two nights at Pensive and had a wonderful time. Its a convenient 3km away from the Nuwera Eliya town and offers a calm environment for holiday. Very good value for money hotel. Spacious room, twin beds, decent bathroom, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, swimming pool, beach 50 m away, all for €26 per night for 1 person. Friendly staff and welcome. The only downside is the railway line located next door. But it's still bearable. The restaurant is good but a bit expensive for the country. I still recommend this hotel without hesitation.

Rooms and bathrooms are very spacious, clean, tidy and nice. Staff is very friendly. Pool is great. Waiting to go to restaurant and try the food. They have antique doors and windows in rooms, gives a classic look. Close to beach. A bar is not available, but you are welcome to bring any drink from outside. A decent pool also available.

Hotel is new. Clean rooms, nice pool, nice prices. Some things are not done yet like absent trash can in the room and poor choise in the minibar, but it was a very good choise for the offered price.

Calm and quiet place. Sunday is best for families. Food and service are OK, reasonable prices... you have to take a boat to go to this place, it takes around 3 minutes(safety jackets are availble on request). Have to buy ticket for boat (Rs.100 per person).

A good place to stay at Halpe on your way to Badulla from Bandarawela. The rooms are clean and comfortable and have a nice view of ella mountains and attached bathrooms with hot water facility. They have a spacious vehicle park and the owners are very friendly and helpful.

The hotel is very close to the beach and hotel staff is very helpful. Family room is very spacious and clean. The roof called skyview is very causey with a constant fresh breeze. In the family suite you have 6 single beds and 2 attached bathrooms

This is a very good place, there is music and a very very kind staff. The food was a bit slow, but it was because the burger was made all from scratch and that is so cool!!! It was delicious and the drinks was also great. I would reccomend this place if youre looking for a good vibe, good drinks and a perfect burger!!!

My family and I had a great time at this haven. It feels like a sanctuary. If you want a glamorous and lavish experience this is not your place, but if you want to relax, refresh and restart then I would recommend lagoon paradise. Tip: wake up at 5am, the views are amazing and the air is so fresh.

We stayed this place for two nights. At the check in desk they provide only key and we have to find our room by our own. Rooms are clean. But lac of amnesties. Floor plan also not good. Mantaining and caretaking may be not good because one of air cconditioner wasn't working at first. TV not worked at all and they said it may be a problem of cable after tried half an hour. We went as a couple to visit the Maligawa and stayed at BPR Asgiriya for one night. It was a very pleasent stay and the room was very clean and neat. Breakfast was a la carte (due to the lower guest count for the night) but we got to know that they offer buffet too depending on the crowd. This was a very odd hotel that in reality looks a lot more ragged vs the pictures posted here. The smell of mildew is strong in many parts of the hotel, especially the reception office. The rooms are awkwardly furnished, with loud AC units that run 24/7 struggling to cool your room. There are a number of dogs on site, and while friendly have a tendency to go crazy and bark very loudly at night...

This is not the luxury’ hotel that social media would have you believe! The location is fantastic but that is where the plus points end. Very tired and dirty room, cleaning non existent unless we specifically asked for clean towels. The food was good one night but poor the other two. Breakfast was ok. The worst thing was water dripping down the walls in the bathroom…..into the hairdryer! It exploded...

We had a lovely stay at Paradise Beach Club and the location is fantastic. The pool was lovely and the hotel was very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. Although dinner was included in the price of the room, we decided to eat out both evenings as there are some lovely beach restaurants just a short walk along the sand away that are great value too.

'Paradise' is a subjective word... this is a very touristy / package resort type place. We ended up there for 2 nights as part of a group tour. It wouldn't be my usual choice but it was ok. It seemed very busy which made time by the pool off-putting, having to fight for a sun-bed or table. There were a lot of loud kids in the pool, screaming / playing... but not a relaxed environment. A new hotel for wedding receptions as well as logging. Some arrangements are good, need to improve following. Parking is not enough and not secured. Ground floor and Manager room is well arranged. Staircases are not well arranged. 3 staircases for 1,2 floors and space is waisted. Washrooms are not well arranged and sign boards are not placed. 4th floor is for liquor and smoke but sometimes staff crossing...

We, 2 adults and 2 children stayed here for 1 night. Very helpful and polite staff. Rooms were clean and enough space. Food is tasty and price also reasonable. There's no wow sort of view around the place. Still some construction works going on. Because of that dust and time to time machinery noice is there. And there no elevator. Had to climb the stair case up to the 4th floor.
