The staff here could not be more attentive. The rooms are large and comfortable, with good quality tea and proper coffee provided. The pool is a bit shallow but spotlessly clean. If you use a sunbed someone immediately provides you with a cool drink of water. There us a railway line between the hotel and the beach but it never disturbed us. There are lots of nice restaurants along the beach if you wanted to eat out.

A small villa with 9 rooms, built in a traditional style. The photos have been enhanced, but in reality, it's a bit sadder—partly due to poor cleaning, so the surfaces aren't shiny. Keep in mind, there's a train passing just a few hundred meters away, which might be disruptive for people with sensitive sleep. On the plus side, the staff is very friendly.

Two night stay in the Long House Bentota at the end of our two week trip to Sri Lanka. Stunning property with large clean rooms and spacious shower room. Staying on a half board basis the evening meal and breakfasts were terrific. Staff were very helpful, especially Sameera the assistang manager. There is a rail track between the property and the beach, so be warned there is some train noise from early morning but we loved to see the trains and it did not overly disturb us.

WOW! This was the last hotel we stayed in during a tour of Sri Lanka. Like the other Taru Villas hotel in Maia, the staff were always polite and couldn't do enough to be helpful. The deputy manager was always coming up to us checking that everything was to our liking. I think we had the best room in the hotel! With only 9 rooms it was never going to feel crowded, which is the way we like it. Ask for smaller portions, or expect to put on weight! As this was part of a tour package, individual hotel prices were not identified, so I can't comment on value. I've included just one photo, which was the view as we arrived.

A perfect final stop on a wonderful trip around Sri Lanka. The Long House is situated just behind a beautiful, quiet beach. It is such a relaxing place with a beautiful pool , comfortable loungers and an immaculately kept garden. We enjoyed delicious food, beautifully presented. The team at The Long House are outstanding and we were so well looked after. After a busy couple of weeks, very pleased to be here.

Stunningly boutique hotel close to the beach in Bentota. Only 9 rooms and many sitting areas, plus a gym. Beautiful pool. Just a few hundred meters walk across the railway line to the beach. The sea water is amazing here, so warm and clean! Amazing service in the hotel from Nimesh, Sahas, Canada, and Kavidu. We loved our stay here.

A great way to end our trip in Sri Lanka. This was the perfect hotel for our last stop. The hotel location was perfect with a great view of the train and easy beach access and the dreamiest sunsets of the trip. The staff were incredibly accommodating big shout out to Nimesh, Sahas, Chanaka and Kavidu for looking after us so well and being so attentive. Highly recommend.
