Avoid at all costs. The place is filthy and not suitable for families at all. The staff are just beach bums who obviously have no training and are not interested in any kind of service. The place also smells bad at the reception as you walk in. The floors in the room are filthy and the showers are moldy with no hot water. Please do yourself a favour and avoid it and book yourself a hotel or somewhere with better reviews

We went for a vacation stay as it’s quite close to the Galle ground. Beautiful and artistic. We had a room behind the front desk. So I hesitated first thinking about the privacy. Yet I checked the room. It was cozy and nice. No one bothered us. It was quiet. Room with mini bar and tea/coffee. Beautiful bathroom and a tiny garden for us. Very organized and clean. Breakfast was served in the rooftop. Good breakfast options. They served fresh and delicious and of course healthy breakfast. We used the pool. It’s cozy and beautiful. Next time gonna book another room type. Staff were good but not excellent. Yet we appreciate everything. Thank you.

5/5 for this amazing hotel. Staff were so friendly and accommodating and we even got a free upgrade which was incredible. The room and pool area was so clean and all amenities were included. You even get a free tuktuk to Halle fort included in the price which is super handy! Breakfast was also included and is a nice selection of options, they also give you fresh juice and a fruit plate. It’s perfect location only 10 mins away from the turtle sanctuary

Great place to stay. Nice room. Large, clean, nicely presented. Lovely balcony. Quiet and relaxing. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely pool to cool off after a day out. Free tuk tuk to Galle fort. 18 faces isn’t too far to walk to the fort either so easy access to the main area for restaurants etc. Recommended.

The hotel is definitely worth the price you pay. We stayed there in December. The staff are great, they look very young but there if you need anything. The hotel also has a great free tuk tuk service to Galle Fort, which is where the main area is, restaurants, Fort, cricket ground. It also had a nice pool.

Such a valuable place to enjoy Also staff are amazing and so helpful Wonderful pool and my son loved lot Really recommend for all to come and enjoy Need to have more options in the menu that is the only concern. Overall great place with nice atmosphere.

We were so glad to be able to book an extra night at this hotel as on the website it looked fantastic. How really disappointed we were when we entered our pool view room. It was absolutely filthy there were marks on the floors and the bathroom was covered in mould. Which the young man tried to make excuses about the condition of it. There were stains around the sink. No way were we prepared to stay here not when we have stayed in far superior accommodation for the same amount. We expected comfort and cleanliness not to feel like we couldn't take our shoes off or unpack. Fortunately the hotel didn't charge us for our cancellation and ordered us a tuk tuk to take us to alternative accommodation.

Wish we'd stayed longer
We loved our stay at 18 Faces. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, the room was beautiful, amazing breakfast, a free shuttle to the fort and it was very well priced.

Excellent Hotel
Extremely comfortable stay. The breakfast was the best I had in Sri Lanka by a mile, But it was the excellent customer service that stood out. Everyone was excellent and went out of their way to help me. I recommend most highly.

Decent stay
Close enough to the fort and the free tuktuk to is useful. Room is well presented and fairly clean. You do get the odd whiff from the municipal dump round the corner though.
