This is a wonderful place - to live in the jungle 😻 A very beautiful garden with a lake, a very atmospheric room with a veranda and the coolest thing is the shower with an open ceiling and plants. Monkeys came - ogs live on the territory of a family of 8, birds, a small monitor lizard and a mongoose were seen. The service is excellent, cleaning is perfect, a minibar and its own cafe - if you are not staying at the hotel, you can just visit it - it's a quiet island on the noisy street of Una. The location is excellent closer to the middle of the street - almost opposite is the best fruit stand!

A chic, unassuming hotel in the heart of a bustling tourist area. The grounds are like a jungle, with monkeys and all sorts of animals. Everything is close by, including the beach and a ton of cafes. The soundproofing is poor, but each room comes with free earplugs.

The hotel's courtyard is a huge surprise! Be sure to have breakfast around 10 o'clock, and your friends in the trees will accompany you for a delicious meal. There are a lot of mosquitoes, so be careful to prevent mosquitoes.

It is quiet in a busy area, the yard is beautiful, squirrels, birds and lizards are jumping around in the yard, it is very comfortable to have breakfast and drink coffee here, but don't forget to spray mosquito repellent.

The room is very exquisite, the details are in place, the service is very professional, the balcony is very comfortable, and the garden view on the balcony is beautiful. The only drawback seems to be that the soundproofing is poor. If it can be improved, it would be perfect. Just outside the location, there are various shops, restaurants and bars, and the atmosphere is first-class! All in all, good reviews and highly recommended!

Excellent hotel, the rooms have everything for a good rest. The entire area is surrounded by greenery. The location is right on the main street of Unawatuna, 5 minutes from the beach. The hotel has amazing breakfasts, for a fee, very tasty. I recommend the hotel. If you go to Unawatuna, then definitely go there.

perfect little Oasis set ın a busy resort wıth plenty of wonderful shops and restaurants. Wısh we has booked to stay longer and will return.

I arrived with a booking via a well known booking company but anyhow they messed it up. The manager instead was very helpful and understanding and even he was busy with other guests checking out he offered me a beautiful room with balcony and just solved the problem within a short time. Now I am relaxing on the balcony and enjoying this beautiful garden view and listen to the sound of nature. The whole house and the rooms are extraordinary furnished and decorated. Also you find a water kettle, fridge, good quiet air con and a fan, nice big towels, shower creme and hair dryer...and some more handy stuff. The garden is so beautiful with the pond and tropical flowers, the big tree and squirrels and birds and, if course Simba, the cute big superfriendly Sheppard dog. Well, I love this place, which is only 3 minutes of the beach, and can recommend it with the best conscience. 12 of 10

Dunes is the hidden gem of Unawatuna! I have been a guest here many times and I will keep coming back because of the amazing Sri Lankan architecture, service and the fact that it is away from the hustle bustle of Unawatuna beach. They have yummy breakfast options and mornings with coffee & breakfast are especially nice in their cozy garden.
Stay for a couple of nights at least, you won't regret it!
