Villa de White Sambur in Hikkaduwa

An unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived, the staff and especially Lahiru were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making us feel right at home. Our room was immaculate, stylish, and very comfortable. The location is perfect and from our hotel we easily visited three different beaches. Highly recommended!

Our friends have been staying at Villa White Sambur for several years now. We were happy with our choice. It's very clean, the staff is friendly, and there's security! Mr. Lahiru, the owner of the villa, is very nice. We were very pleased with our stay. There's security, so it's safe.

Very empathetic and friendly host. Helped with the transfer from Colombo airport. Nice and comfortable villa in a good location. You can order a good hearty breakfast, lunch and dinner on site. Liked the clean pool. In general, a pleasant environment, I will be happy to return to this place again. I recommend to stay.

Just a perfect service. The manager - Lahiru is very kind and helpful in any case. Just a short walk from the beach. Highly recommended to everyone 🙂

Very cool place. And the biggest value in the villa staff. The manager solves all issues instantly from hair dryer to transfer. Excellent excursions can be booked on site. Was very skeptical before the trip, but the place is super.

Great villa, clean. The location is competent, not noisy at least near the railway station, but the main road with cafes, the beach and shops is within easy reach (5-10 minutes walk). The staff is friendly, ready to help. Organize a tour, suggest what to see, call a taxi

We wanted to stay here at first for a few days, eventually extended and stayed until the end of the holiday. New, clean hotel with a friendly owner and all the staff.

+ All our wishes were always satisfied. (cleaning, extra blanket, drying)

+ The rooms have a large shower room, just a separate room. Usually in other hotels in Sri Lanka, the shower in the toilet is so small that the shower wets the toilet. And here is a normal large shower room. (If I find a photo, I'll post it)

+ The rooms have a fan and air conditioning, a refrigerator, a wardrobe, etc.

+ the children especially liked the pool, and so did we :) it’s always clean, the leaves are removed every day, it doesn’t smell much of bleach, although it is periodically added

+ Also here at the hotel you can order various tours, trips, even rent mopeds,
+ To change money, at a normal rate, they will organize anything, everything can be agreed upon.

+ Also, the father of the owner, it seems, has a Red Lobster restaurant. You can order lunch and dinner to have it delivered or they will cook it on the spot. We tried an excellent Seefood Basket seafood set, ordered it for the New Year.
I can also recommend their Seefood Soup, really tasty (the only thing is sometimes salted), we diluted it with boiling water :), but there, in addition to various seafood, they also put either a whole crab or a claw of cancer.
Also very tasty fish or traditional Srilan curry, hoppers are also delicious.

You can walk to the sea in 10 minutes or take a tuk-tuk for 150-200 rupees, depending on what season and how to negotiate.

There are small shops nearby. The main road, where there is a lot of everything, is also a 10-minute walk.

Therefore, we liked it here, that if you want to relax and not sweat, do not look, you can get everything on the spot. But at the same moment, if you want variety, you can go to the embankment nearby.

All in all, we highly recommend!

Rested as a couple in March 2020, not bad. Nice staff. Big minus - creaky bed, poor soundproofing. What saved us was that we lived on the top floor and the guys left the next room right away, so we didn't interfere with each other. A quiet, cozy place between travels around the island.
