Arabella on Boossa in Galle

Beautiful property, white washed and love the shutters. Very colonial . Restaurant was great food, pool a lovely temperature and overall a very relaxing time. Walking distance to a few other restaurants on the beach which is handy and the tuk tuks available to take you further afield. Only thing I’d say is would be great if there was an opportunity to order food a little later in the evening - at lunchtime when they ask us we generally weren’t sure of our plans and sometimes we would get back and the kids would be hungry so if the restaurant was open later would be great.

Arabella on Boossa is an incredible Hotel on an amazing beach. The Hotel’s design and layout is beautiful and so comfortable. The attention to detail is incredible. The staff and quality of the rooms, outstanding. The meals in the Ahara restaurant were excellent. I would recommend Arabella and Ahara. Thank you Chef and all the staff for a wonderful stay and many great meals.

Just a glimpse of why we are back at Arabella on Boossa. Returning to a spot where the ambience is as crisp as the spotless rooms is a rare win. A beautifully designed boutique hotel where every last detail has been considered. Fresh and delicious food with beautiful breakfast included. The sound of the Indian Ocean and poolside breeze, a guaranteed recharge. The staff, top notch. Welcoming, smiley, friendly and attentive. They treat us like family. Thank you for welcoming us back. Feels like our home away from home.

Beautiful upmarket stay in a gorgeous location. I will note it’s not walking distance to fort but easily reached by a 10 min Tuk Tuk. We visited in off season and had the entire place to ourself

Highly recommend! The staff is very careful with the guest and we received a free upgrade room as well! 🥳 We stayed for two nights and can enjoy also the pool and the private beach. The bedroom was very clean and pretty big. We had a very relaxing staying here

Such a beautiful hotel, with beautiful rooms, directly located on the beach - you can have beautiful walks around and enjoy the ocean 🐠 all outside areas are also very nice so you can enjoy your day on the pool as well. Everyone is so kind - a big recommendation for this special place ♥️

We loved our stay at Arabella. Loved the simplicity and size of the rooms. Kept very clean and tidy by the staff. Cute offering of bananas for supper in the room with the turn down service. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Pool area was on the small size but we had no problem using it when we wanted to. Kitchen and kitchen staff were A . Food and service was amazing highly recommend the chimichurri prawns & the prawn or fish tacos! All breakfast options were great also! Tuk Tuks available outside the property cost us 1200 rupees to the fort which is approx 15 minutes away. Beach not suitable for swimming but a lot of the Sri Lankan coastline is rough like this and if you want to be able to swim in the ocean you’ll need to stay at one of the touristy areas which actually make great day trips from the hotel. Great spot for a walk along the beach. We went in the peak tourist season & found this good value for money for our family would happily stay again. Staff attentive even playing cricket with our son.
Cons
No kettle in the room for making tea only a coffee machine so you need to wait for the kitchen to open at 8am before you can get a pot of tea- would be nice to have one in the room

If you’re in room 1 it is closest to the road and you might need some ear plugs or white noise.
Also suggest an eye mask as there are shutters that allow the light through.

Breakfast not available till 8 when the kitchen/restaurant opens would be nicer if it opened a little earlier

Very beautıfıl boutique hotel at the beah. Very clean and relaxing. Chilling in the garden with a coctail is reffreshing exprience. Staff is very kind and helpful. Besides all, they have amazing cook. Foods are at another level in this hotel. Best culinary experience in Srilanka
