Outstanding Service and Hospitality.
The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. They went out of their way to ensure our stay was perfect.
From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and cared for. The team here truly knows how to make guests feel special.

Our room was spacious, clean, and had all the amenities we needed. The bed was extremely comfortable!

I had a wonderful stay at this place! Mr. Rajitha and Miss Piumi were incredibly kind and welcoming throughout my visit. The room and bathroom were spotless, providing a comfortable and clean environment. The food was absolutely delicious, and I couldn't have asked for better hospitality. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant and enjoyable experience."

Pensive Villa is a most beautiful & calm location that I seen in Nuwara Eliya. It's situated near to Gregory Lake & you can get real experience of Nuwara Eliya weather.

A good location if you have a car with the tea estates and lake in proximity. Good light if somewhat cold rooms that need a little maintenance from mould due to the climate. Basic breakfast included and overall excellent value. Limited English from staff.

I recently stayed at Pensive Villa - Nuwara Eliya with my family during Nuwara Eliya Season 2024 and unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory.
Firstly, upon checking in, we were not informed that there was no water available. This was incredibly inconvenient and unexpected, as access to water is a basic necessity that any reputable hotel should provide without fail. After we had inquired about water hotel management informed that due to season there is shortage of water. Knowing the fact that there is shortage of water hotel has not taken any proactive plans to store water. We got to know that as hotel had enough water on stock and they have kept them for in case of emergency. Furthermore management kept switching OFF water pressure to reduce the water usage
To add to our disappointment, upon checkout, we were shocked to find that we were being charged for damage to a hair dryer. The damage was purportedly caused by us, despite none of us having any recollection of mishandling the hair dryer. The hotel's lack of transparency and fairness in this matter left a bitter taste in our mouths.
Furthermore, throughout our stay, we couldn't shake off the feeling of unease regarding the safety of the hotel premises. As a family, our primary concern is the safety and well-being of our loved ones, and unfortunately, Pensive Villa - Nuwara Eliya did not instill any sense of security in us. The lack of proper security measures and an overall feeling of vulnerability made our stay extremely uncomfortable.
In conclusion, I would strongly advise against staying at [Hotel Name], especially for families. The absence of basic amenities like water, unjust charges for alleged damages, and concerns about safety make it clear that this establishment falls short of providing a satisfactory hospitality experience.

Good location. Terrible service. Breakfast buffet is a joke. Good housekeeping.
Only rice and bread with curry. If you order omelette or tea, or even butter, they charge you heavily. My advice - book without expecting a decent breakfast, or book without free breakfast and have it in town. There are some good joints in Nuwara Eliya town.

A place where people who want to come to Nuwara Eliya can stay comfortably for a reasonable price. The food was delicious and made just the way we wanted using fresh vegetables. Walking distance to Gregory Lake. Very helpful family🤩. Highly recommended.

One of the best places we have stayed. Very clean, comfortable, well kept,cozy rooms with standard amenities. Excellent place and food for the price you pay.

Stayed two nights at Pensive and had a wonderful time. Its a convenient 3km away from the Nuwera Eliya town and offers a calm environment for holiday. Owing to the pleasant hosts, Mr. Rajitha and Mrs. Pumi, the villa had a homely feeling with the luxuries of a well run hotel. The meals were always warmed and had the taste of home cooked food .
I wish them the very best as I recommend Pensive Villa to anyone looking for a relaxed stay at Nuwara Eliya.

It is very close to Gregory Lake. Best place to stay at a reasonable price. The rooms are comfortable, pleasant and clean. Friendly service is provided. Can be recommended very well
