“Awful accommodation – never again! The room was freezing cold with no heating at all. The bedding had a bad smell. The only thing that was not bad was the food, but everything else was extremely disappointing.”

I genuinely don’t understand how this place is operating as a hotel. From the moment we arrived, it was a disappointment. The room was freezing cold, and when we asked for a heater, we were told we had to pay 3000 LKR extra — as if basic heating is some sort of premium feature. When we pointed out that this should be a standard amenity, we were met with a bizarre excuse: “Your original room was downstairs. This one is upstairs and warmer.” That’s not how hospitality works. Then we pulled back the blanket — filthy sheets and small bugs crawling on the bed. Truly disgusting. On top of that, hot water only lasted for about 5 minutes before turning ice cold, making showers extremely unpleasant. This hotel lacks basic hygiene, proper facilities, and any sense of guest care. It’s not just disappointing — it’s unacceptable. If you value cleanliness, comfort, and basic respect as a guest, look elsewhere.

Atmospheric hotel located near the center Place and building itself are well-kept and charming Rooms are clean, and have a beautiful interior with a lot of space. In the hotel is a restaurant where you can eat inexpensively and tasty meals Hotel's staff is very nice and lovely, they take care of their guests with all their might In your free time you can relax by playing billiards This place worth visiting and I truly recommend it People which work here put whole hearts into this place ❣️I am grateful for a wonderful time!

Lovely accommodation set in the hills of Nuwara Eliya. The staff are most efficient, helpful and friendly. The beds were super comfortable, and for us a bit of luxe after a few weeks of budget accommodation. The breakfast supplied was delicious and generous servings. There was a sitting area to utilise (lovely on a cooler day) and an outside veranda upstairs to take in the tea fields. We were glad to have our driver available for dinner as there isn't much on offer food wise nearby. Beautiful drive to get to the hotel and not missable.

Staff are friendly and helpful. Hotel needs a good clean, our room wasn't the cleanest, rug was covered in hairs and dirt. Tables in foyer and restraunt could do with regular cleaning.good spot to walk about to town,lake etc. Good brekkie. Overall ok.

The man on the reception was very helpful and offered us the room which was pleasant enough! He has a friendly assistant Stanley who was an amazing soul. He couldn’t have been more helpful. He brought a heater to our room as it gets colder at night, and carried our case up to the top floor. 3 flights of stairs no less! What a guy! It appears to be a fairly new venture and there are a lot of things needing to be addressed ongoing, nothing that detracted from our stay though. We enjoyed a walk to the town and had tea and cake at the Grand Hotel, and a meal in the Food hall. Then we walked into the old town and had some Lion beer! Walked back to the hotel and went to bed! The shower was really good. We had breakfast in the morning which was a very good attempt at traditional breakfast eggs, in a variety of forms, sausages, toast, jam and tea. All included in the very good value price. I’d like to say thank you for a lovely stay, and especially to Stanley who was the star of the show! Keep up the good work!

Nice hotel with great hosts. The fluffiest blankets ever. Close to market and opposite Park. we had a one night stop over and can't complain. They provided hot soup and food for every palate. Mostly European guests were seen and loved the view from room

The hotel is in a very good location, 10 minutes on foot from the centre. It looks old or at least not well maintained, but the room was comfortable with the best pillow I had in Sri Lanka. Unluckily when I arrived there was no electricity and so it remained till sunset, with no possibility of wifi or even a cup out tea (complimentary, like water). The bathroom is large, there was no hot water but when I asked they gave me. There was bath foam and shower, no soap for hands. I had no breakfast as I left at 5 for Horton’s plains but they gave me a decent breakfast box.
