The Trevene Hotel in Nuwara Eliya

The stay was great. Comfortable stay and tasty food. Especially the staff is very friendly and attentive. The room is very spacious and well designed. There is room for further improvements (e.g., adding new bathroom fittings, curtains). Overall, a pleasent stay and the their frindly and service oriented staff is the greatest strength of the hotel.

2 nights there with bfast. The old style inside and the garden surrounding it were quite cozy and pretty. The location was excellent. One thing i can suggest is to update the bathroom and make it more modern

We visited Hotel Glendower for our honeymoon, and the experience was truly wonderful. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with such warmth and kindness, which made us feel very special. We were pleasantly surprised with a room upgrade, and the beautifully decorated room added a lovely touch to our stay.
The food was absolutely delicious, and every meal was a delight. A special thank you to the Noha who warmly welcomed us, Lakshmi, and the chef for their exceptional hospitality and care. They truly made our honeymoon memorable.

The Glendover Hotel is a wonderful place to stay. The very kind and friendly hotel staff even offered us a room upgrade, so we enjoyed more luxury than we had hoped for.
We were welcomed with delicious cinnamon tea and warm towels. Since it’s much cooler here than in other parts of Sri Lanka, the hot towels felt especially comforting.

Our room was spacious and comfortable, and a water kettle was provided. The bed and sheets were the most comfortable we’ve had during our entire trip.

The night before, we were asked which type of breakfast we preferred, and we chose the Sri Lankan breakfast. It was amazing — a perfect combination of a high-class hotel breakfast and a traditional Sri Lankan selection of dishes. As we were the only guests having breakfast early in the morning, Sharat offered us a personal, butler-like service.

Our whole stay was an unforgettable experience for us backpackers, and we were truly treated like royalty.

We really enjoyed our stay here even though the weather was rubbish. The house is such a quirky throwback to another era, it was like stepping back in time and visiting a boarding house/ B and B. Great value for money. We would recommend staying here. - Staff were incredibly helpful and informative which made the stay so enjoyable - Bedrooms were so spacious with a fireplace (that was lit at night for us). - Buffet breakfast was at the bigger hotel next door and was delicious - Shower was hot and had great pressure. - The place is old and so a little run-down but somehow just contributed to the charm. - Wifi was great - Walking distance to many of the main parts of Nuwara Eliya including the gardens and the main town.

We have come to Nuwara Eliya from Kandy & wonder about the diversity of the climate & natural beauty of Sri Lanka from one place to another. The warm fireplace of 'The Trevene' gave us a sense of Britain in Sri Lanka, coolness, mist, & the cup of richly aromed Ceylon tea was remarkable. With the delicious taste of home made Pizzas lost our minds in Italy In Sri Lanka. Thank you for proposing us that good Bordeau Wine which was the cherry on the cake. We have planned only one day in Nuwara Eliya & highly felt we should comeback to fulfil the epic hike of Horton plains & the waterfalls & the tea estates in the hill country. they organize a guided tour to Horton plains and provide a meal at your request. The guidance of Mr Dil who is the owner and the valuable assistance of the whole staff worth to be thankful. The beakfast with typical Sri Lankan milk- rice ( Kiribath) & fried onion curry ( seenisambol) & chicken curry was mouthwatering . Our stay was very comfortable & we do not hesitate to propose travellers to select booking 'The Trevene'.

Cosy guesthouse in a former tea estate bungalow, located a few minutes' walk from central Nuwara Eliya, Victoria Park and Lake Gregory. The décor is more quaint than modern, but my room was large and well-appointed. The friendly staff helped me throughout my stay, giving me advice on things to do in town and even lighting a roaring fire in my in-room fireplace — a real novelty! The bed was very comfortable and my room was extremely quiet so I got a great night's sleep.

The hotel is very close to the city center. price performance hotel. The breakfast is average. There is no soap in the bathroom. this is a big shortcoming. but all these shortcomings are made up by hotel employee Mr. Sydney. he is very selfless. Since it was sunrise, he lit the fireplace for us and warmed us. We give Sydney a 10 out of 10 rating.
