The staff member has explained everything nicely and give us a nice tour. Enjoyed the black tea and special Christmas cake at the end. Good options to buy green tea.

Would not stay here again. Mixed experience. Stayed here for two days on our trip to Nuwara Eliya. It's a bit far from the city centre and there isn't much to do close by. The place looks much better on the booking websites than it really is. The approach road is bad. Our taxi from the train station dropped us on the main road, and we dragged our bags to the guest house. The staff could see us but didn't attempt to help till we got to the very entrance. The ?manager (Nalli)had a generally blasé take on service. We told him about the broken toilet seat and no curtains on the windows and his response was saying that's just how it is. Refused to give an extra bottle of water.
At 103 USD per night, I expect much better.

The service was better the next day, when he was away on leave and we dealt with the other staff, who were really helpful and lovely. The two stars are for them, otherwise I would've given it one star.

A peaceful stay surrounded by endless tea fields and fresh mountain air. Waking up to misty views and birdsong felt unreal. Simple, cozy, and authentic—perfect if you want to slow down, disconnect, and experience real Sri Lankan hill country life.

We didn't actually get to stay here because we couldn't drive the road to Nuwara Eliya after the flooding. Unfortunately, we couldn't cancel either because of the hotels cancellation policy but they were nice in communication.

Based on other reviews, the room description is a bit incorrect - rather than not having a view it faces a wall but, of course, I cant confirm this. I'd suggest confirming with the hotel about this if you want natural light.

This is one of the most wonderful villas we stayed in in Sri Lanka. The house is very cozy and beautiful, the service is excellent, and the breakfast is delicious. Everything is in perfect harmony. For a family or group, this is a truly wonderful option. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer.

Our stay at The Tree House in Nuwara Eliya was good. The property is located in the middle of a lush tea estate and offers breathtaking views right from the balcony, where we could see women picking tea leaves- a beautiful and authentic experience. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, even surprising us with a thoughtful farewell gift. Breakfast was delicious and set the tone for relaxed mornings. The only minor downside was that the property is a bit far from central Nuwara Eliya, making it tricky at times to find transport. Still, the charm, hospitality, and stunning surroundings more than made up for it.

I had a wonderful stay at the Tea Garden in Nuwara Eliya. I stayed in the deluxe room, which was very comfortable and cozy. The house itself is so charming, and the views of the tea plantations are just beautiful. The hosts were absolutely lovely – warm, welcoming, and always ready to help. Thank you so much for the hospitality, I truly loved my stay!

We spent two days at The Tea Garden and it was delightful. First day we had some issue with the bed, but as soon as we mentioned it to the manager he promptly changed our rooms to a more comfortable one. Vinoo was the caretaker and served us amazing breakfast.
There’s a buddhist temple nearby wherein they have morning evening prayers on loudspeaker so it could be a bit loud in those times.

Food : as mentioned above the breakfast was one of the best we have had however no provisions exist for lunch and dinner! Our host was more than happy to suggest us places where we could call to order food. Noteworthy places for as such are Pizzahut, KFC and dominos. Taste of India around 1.7km away offers delivery when called or ordered on whatsapp and if nothing else, Global kitchen which is about 1.3km away offers great food!

A fantastic location, and the people are very friendly. The only problem we encountered was that everything was extremely damp: bedding, floor, bathroom, towels. There were no windows that could be opened, so the dampness lingered. Breakfast was fine, very Western-style—so if that's what you're looking for, it's great.

In the living room, you can see the water damage on the walls.
Someone was smoking behind our room (outside), and the smoke smell permeated the room, as if someone was smoking next door. All in all, this isn't a place we'd want to return to, despite the friendly people.
