Nice clean hotel with good service. Nice breakfast. On a lake but a little distant from anything.No sun so hot water was problematic.

The setting is simply stunning. The resort is nestled right on the Yoda Kandiya Lake, and the views from our Super Deluxe Room balcony were breathtaking—especially at sunrise and sunset. Watching the water buffalo and various birdlife over the lotus-filled lake created an incredibly tranquil and relaxing atmosphere. Mr kodituwakku is best manager and staff is frendly. Excellent meals. Perfectly clean resort.

I recently attended a wedding at DiyaDahara Lake Resort in Tissamaharama. The wedding hall was spacious and well-arranged, comfortably accommodating around 150 guests. The food was delicious and well-prepared, adding to the overall experience.
The resort offers a beautiful garden and pool view, creating a relaxing atmosphere. The rooms are maintained at a standard level, but the washrooms need better upkeep. Additionally, the service and staff discipline could be improved to enhance the overall experience.
A plus point is the availability of free parking, which is convenient for guests.
Overall, a decent place with great potential if they focus more on staff training and maintenance.

In parts this hotel needs some attention, such as paintwork. The room was large and very comfortable, the wetroom was huge with plenty of hat water. The staff were most helpful, nothing was too much trouble, and they took pleasure in serving guests and looking after them. We ate there several times the food and service was superb. One of the best Sri Lankan curries we had in our stay. There is a very relaxing garden and we had a balcony overlooking the lake, so there are options for relaxing and of course there is a lovely swimming pool.

We had a wonderful experience at the hotel. The staff as very friendly and the rooms were large. Bathrooms and other facilities were well maintained and clean.
We ordered dinner from the hotel and the portions were very large and tasty. Breakfast buffet was mostly Sri Lankan and was delicious.
I would highly recommend this place and if you call the hotel directly you can get good price offers as well.

This is the worst hotel I have stayed in in Sri Lanka. I didn’t have high expectations and thought it was very close to Yala Park, so I just stayed for one night and tolerated it. But there are really many places where it’s unbearable. The first thing that happened was that there was no hot water for showering in our room. There were actually only two households staying in the hotel that day, but I negotiated with the hotel for almost an hour until almost midnight, and they still refused to change our room. It wasn't until I told the manager that I wanted to check out and asked him to refund the money that they relented and changed my room. Sri Lanka is very hot and stuffy. I really don’t want to take a shower in this weather. . . .
Then we changed rooms. We had hot water for bathing but the air conditioner was not good. Because we were so tired, we thought we could endure it as long as there was an electric fan.
The next morning, we agreed to arrange breakfast for us when we came back from Yala Park. But we ate breakfast, but they insisted on charging me 12 dollars for overtime check-out. So I negotiated with the manager for the second time, because I told the manager in advance yesterday that Yala would definitely check out late when she came back. At that time, the manager said it was no problem.
After my argument, the manager finally agreed to the promise made the day before. After this day of battle of wits and courage, I remind everyone to protect their rights and interests, never show weakness, and never come to this hotel.
Then we changed rooms. We had hot water for bathing but the air conditioner was not good. Because we were so tired, we thought we could endure it as long as there was an electric fan.

The hotel is located by the lake, the environment is very good and quiet, the room is large, the facilities are a bit old, and the breakfast is also good. It is just that there is no WiFi in the room, which is very inconvenient

First of all have to mention food is total disaster on this place. Normal home cook food will be 100 times better than food in this place.
We were group of 6 people booked 2 triple rooms. And we were the only guests at the resort. The Manager and the staff treated us as we’re a huge burden to them.
No Buffet was given, teated us with cheap home cooked like meals, even though we Paid luxury amount for our full board.
We got soo frustrated about their service we changed our booking to half board.
Please do yourself a favor, Do NOT pick this place to spend your vacation or your weekend get away.
This place absolutely does not deservs your hard earned money.
