We booked directly with the resort, and from the moment we made the reservation until check-out, the receptionist provided excellent service. He was very helpful, friendly, and professional throughout our stay.

The staff was very good, always supportive and attentive to our needs. The location is beautiful — the lake view is absolutely stunning, and the sunset at Tissa Lake in the evening was truly unforgettable.

The food was also great, fresh and delicious.
Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend Lake Wind Resort to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. We will definitely visit again!

Beautiful resort with a stunning lake view and a peaceful atmosphere. We loved watching the many birds around the lake — such a relaxing experience. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming.

The restaurant was excellent with delicious food and great service. Highly recommended!

Used to be great at service, but it’s tragic to see some stuff members particularly the person working at front desk today Jan 17, 2026 being rude, unprofessional and lack basic skills in communicating. Was there for lunch, for 6 people, initially agreed to serve and lack of a follow up attention to take my order led me to the front desk where I was giving my order and I was told they can only serve lunch in 1.5 hours coz the kitchen is busy with a larger order! If that was the case they could simply start with that and not have guests settle in for a lunch they will not receive!

We were planning to stay there 2 nights but ended up checking out after our first night. Location and views are fantastic but the bathrooms need an update and service was sub par. We also got our laundry done but according to my husband they didn't use detergent and smelled like they cleaned them in a well. On a good note the srilankan breakfast was fantastic!

The rooms need a good deep clean. No matress covers. The views are amazing and having breakfast outside looking at the lake was a treat. If you are into bird watching this is your place. We had breakfast and dinner there and the food was lovely. We were told the card machine was broken and we had to pay our final bill in cash.
The staff are all very nice, in particular Prabodha who was really kind, friendly and professional. Nothing was a trouble for him and he was always checking if we needed anything.

2 days ago me and my friend went to the Lake wind hotel.it was the mesmerizing view of the Thissa lake.rooms are very comfortable and clean.staff was very friendly.Foods are great and they served us lot of currys with rice. It was a best night i stay in thissamaharama.
Next time definitely i will go there with my family.

Beautiful view of the lake. Spacious rooms and clean pool. We stayed here before visiting the national park in Yala which is very close by. The tour was arranged by the hotel on spot and everything was perfectly fine. We can only recommend this property.

This place need lots of work. But the bedrooms were okay, clean and comfortable. Our lunch took nearly 1.5 hours to arrive. Swimming pool was one reason I booked this hotel but it wasn't usable during our stay. Staff were friendly.

The hotel management do the discrimination. If someone made a reservation via online, not provide accommodation for the driver, even said facility available. According to receptionist's explanation, if someone made a direct reservation then she agree to provide the accommodation for the driver. Driver expect sleep only few hours. Nothing else more. He is the one who accompanied the guests to the hotel to earn money for them. I drove more than 8 hours to proceed this hotel. They did not offer even glass of water. There is a serious issue with humanity, cordiality and courtesy of their policies. If you are going to make a reservation via online, get ready to pay another 1,500 LKR (10 USD) for the driver.
