Villa Alexia in Unawatuna

A true hidden gem!
Villa Alexia offers a beautiful and relaxing environment surrounded by nature. During our stay, we were delighted to see peacocks, monkeys, colorful birds, squirrels, mongooses, and many other animals right on the property.

Breakfasts prepared by Nishan were absolutely delicious, and there’s also the option to hire a private chef who can create gourmet meals that are truly unforgettable.

The beach is just a 10-minute walk away, where you can enjoy stunning sunsets, spot giant turtles, and go for a refreshing swim.

For wellness lovers, there’s a yoga shala within a 17-minute walking distance, or you can take a tuk-tuk for a very reasonable price.

Nishan (the houseboy) and Athula (the manager) were both incredibly helpful and friendly, always ready to assist with anything we needed. You can even enjoy a relaxing massage right at the villa!

Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat close to nature with amazing hospitality.

We had an unforgettable stay at Villa Alexia in Talpe. The house itself is stunning, with a beautiful garden and a fantastic pool that provided the perfect spot for relaxation. We were delighted to see peacocks and monkeys in the garden, adding to the magical atmosphere.

The beach is just a short walk away, where we had the chance to see sea turtles and enjoy a swing on a palm tree—truly a special experience.

The kitchen was well-equipped, and having access to a washing machine made our stay even more convenient. A huge thank you to Gayan for his incredible hospitality, Atthula for taking such great care of the house, organizing our excursions, and always being ready to help with anything we needed. He suggested several excursion options tailored to our interests, allowing us to experience the different facets of Sri Lanka. Throughout the trips, he ensured our safety and satisfaction.

Nisshan's breakfasts were delicious and generous, and he was also incredibly helpful with anything we asked for. He even helped us buy charcoal for the BBQ, set it up, and got the grill going. We enjoyed grilling fresh fish that we bought from the fish market earlier that morning. We especially enjoyed trying the traditional Sri Lankan breakfast—such a unique and flavorful experience!

Absolutely stunning property…very private,beautiful villa.Pool area was the highlight,you can see lots of monkeys jumping in the palm trees,also you can see peacocks 🥳Bedroom was good size with king bed size,shower and toilet very big and beautiful design.

A great place to relax and chill by the pool. Gayan the owner was super helpful during our stay.

The location was super accessible to all the major hangout spots in the area. It was easy to find and only took us 2 hours from Jaella.

We were greeted by the venu manager the owner and the chef on arrival. Our bags were helped in to the rooms which were already setup with cinnamon diffusers and A/C set at mild temperatures. We were given a small tour and a warm welcome. We were offered breakfast made by the chef every morning.

Atmosphere ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Villa was well setup. The Rooms were nice and big. Had enough space to live in. The were views of paddy fields and the pool from two rooms while the others were looking at the pond in the middle of the house.

Amenities ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
All rooms were well equipped with very spacious ensuites that were filled with sunlight and nature. Hot water was on tap and the fittings were first class. Hair dryers, fans, Air Conditioning, Laundry facilities, Private mini bars for each room, Desk and wardrobe were all setup for the viritors convenience. Wifi was super fast and had fiber to home connection. It was well over 50Mbps. Pool was clean and relaxing.

We Managed to find the listing on Facebook and speak to the owner who gave us a good deal for our three night stay. It was very competitive. We will return in the near future for more R&R.

This place is ideal for couple or group of friends looking to have a relaxing time by the pool or to enjoy the beaches just a 5 minute walk. The area was flooded with tourist and activities to do. World class restaurants were a small tuk ride away.

The pond in the middle of the house really gave a sense of calm. But if you had toddlers/babies you will need to keep an close eye as the pond or the swimming pool are not in closed off areas.

Enjoyed there with my friends... Having wonderful time there. One of the best villa in galle area. Can easily access the tourists locations like galle fort, unawatuna beach, and mirissa.

Very beautiful and relaxing place... Friendly personal with useful advices and hinds... Tasty delicious breakfast... Monkey, chipmunks and little dinosaurs... But unfortunatally a big 2 metres mold spot in the bedroom...

Its a great place to go with a bunch of friends to chill and relax. Chanaka was a very kind caretaker who attended to all our needs. Mr Athula the manager was a very hospitable person who said "YES" to all our requests. The hotel is very well designed with modern facilities. Ous stay there was very relaxing and the infinity pool was very refreshing.

Nice and quiet place. 10-15 min walk from the beach. Rooms are new and the staff is available at all times to assist.
Keep in mind it's not a 5 star hotel but a simple villa.
