Lovely setting. Needs some tlc though. Rooms clean but pool areas need work and modernising. The bar is dated and breakfast was pasta, or mashed potatoes, which is strange. The only downside is that it is full of Russians and no other nationalities. The owner is lovely and friendly and most of the staff are nice. Added bonus is the monkeys that came to visit most days

We stayed 3 nights and it was a nice experience. House keeping were really good. Mr. Lalith helped with food. Malith helped to clean the room. Kishor helped to move our luggages. All staff is well trained and clean rooms. Only issue was the breakfast didn’t had much variety. Every day same menu. It should have atleast hopper corner or string hoppers, omelet, waffles. But overall it was great

Two very nice clean pool and sunbeds always available. The downside to this hotel is in my eyes they don't cater for UK citizens. Breakfast is entirely for the many Russian guests.....everything with cabbage and as for the fruit juice....I would love to know what flavour it is supposed to be........ Wow, this was such an amazing stay. The food is great, and there is so much to choose from! The rooms were big with huge bathrooms and the staff very friendly. Very good location, you can take a 10 min walk to the beach, but the hotel does not have blankets, so that's something you need to bring for youself if you need a blanket to sleep at night. They only provide a very thin bedsheet.

The hotel staff were friendly and approachable. Food from the hotel kitchen tasted good and was well priced. Rooms were clean and there was a pool just outside my room. It was possible to clearly hear people playing in the pool, or eating by the room, when I was in my room. This was not an issue for me bu if you need more privacy, I would recommend looking for a room further away from the pool.

Spent a day out at Seaclouds Unawatuna and it was a pretty chill experience. The pool was nice clean and perfect for a relaxing swim. The beach is very good, the ocean is usually calm and peaceful. You can find free sunbeds (for a drink or meal) or paid ones (1500 r), there’s a washroom. But they have to do something with the dogs, they pee and poo on the beach, where kids play. It’s very unhygienic (((

I am in pleasure to direct the hotel, a glamorous place of comfort and the sun kissed beach view not only, very calm and quiet environment, but also, very friendly and hospitable service by the hotel staff as well. Had a room on the top floor and it was amazing. Balcony over looked the beach. The room looked and felt clean. The cabanas on the beach were comfortable. The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious. We loved staying here and would come back here anytime.

It was a good stay. The room was comfortable and clean. However, there are a few things that need to be addressed. There are no plug points, except just 2, into which the bedside lamps were plugged in. No place to plug any computer or even a phone charger unless you have a multi socket adapter. The hotel was booked out but the owner was able to find us a room with our own private bathroom. The bathroom was outdoors just around the corner from our bedroom. The AC unit was broken upon arrival, although it took awhile to fix, the owner took prompt action and was very kind to us. The experience started poor but better throughout our stay.

We stayed here two years ago, so maybe things have changed, but the breakfasts were frankly bad, the rooms were sparse. This isn't a mini-hotel, but a typical guesthouse run by Russians trying to squeeze as much money as possible. After three days, we fled to another hotel. We hope things have improved now.

This one has incredible view, nice manager, who does things seriously well. Be aware, do not left balcony doors opened at evening night with lights on inside: room will be infested with bugs. We stayed in a budget room, which suited us fine. It was air-conditioned and had a small terrace we could sit out on. An advantage of the budget rooms is that they are near the restaurant so you get full strength Wi-Fi in them. This place is stunning in terms of the substance and beauty of the building and garden. And the peace that it offers in the midst of the Moscow suburb that is the rest of Unawatuna was fantastic. Wow the hotel is more of heritage been frozen in times. Good place with all the modern amenities. Peaceful place for family and friends. Lot of mosquitoes but that’s not their problem, carry mosquito repellants with you. Good food and pool to relax.

I had a lovely stay; the location is super, the staff very friendly, good breakfast & lovely pool! The oasis of the garden offers a quiet break from the busy town & streets. Walking distance from the restaurants, beach, supermarket & shops. I would not hesitate to book again!

Hotel is 5min walking to the beach, very quiet place away from maim road. All guys are super nice and will go above and beyond. Thank you for your Sri Lankan hospitality.

Great atmosphere, peaceful and far from the noise even though it's not far from the main road. Surrounded by a lot of green, it is very nice, clean and convenient. Best bed I slept in during my stay in Sri Lanka, really comfy! The staff was also kind and welcoming.

Love this hotel - stylish yet comfortable. A total surprise when you first come down the narrow lane to the entrance. Hats off to the designer. Rooms had a clean, functional design. This review is just for the restaurant that we ate in when passing. Friendly and helpful service but very small pizzas (8 inch/20cm) and a seafood noodle dish that included chicken and chicken bone somewhat detracted from the meal despite the food being good.

Absolutely great hotel. A great value for the money. Service was amazing and staff were friendly. There is a pool where you can enjoy. After all, its just 5 minutes walking distance from the beach which amazing. Highly recommended!

Good facilities for lower prices

Had a really awesome time with friends in this hotel. Grate place, Great food and the pizza here is super delicious. Hands down they serve the best pizza you can find in Unawatuna. The pool was super clean. And the staff was super friendly and accommodative.

Gloria Grand Hotel Is a super place to at it's 5 minutes to the beach in Unawatuna good large clean rooms with balconies and a fantastic breakfast buffet from 7am till 10.30am which I highly recommend friendly staff and very helpful
