Lovely setting. Needs some tlc though. Rooms clean but pool areas need work and modernising. The bar is dated and breakfast was pasta, or mashed potatoes, which is strange. The only downside is that it is full of Russians and no other nationalities. The owner is lovely and friendly and most of the staff are nice. Added bonus is the monkeys that came to visit most days

We stayed 3 nights and it was a nice experience. House keeping were really good. Mr. Lalith helped with food. Malith helped to clean the room. Kishor helped to move our luggages. All staff is well trained and clean rooms. Only issue was the breakfast didn’t had much variety. Every day same menu. It should have atleast hopper corner or string hoppers, omelet, waffles. But overall it was great

Two very nice clean pool and sunbeds always available. The downside to this hotel is in my eyes they don't cater for UK citizens. Breakfast is entirely for the many Russian guests.....everything with cabbage and as for the fruit juice....I would love to know what flavour it is supposed to be........ Wow, this was such an amazing stay. The food is great, and there is so much to choose from! The rooms were big with huge bathrooms and the staff very friendly. Also, the patio and dining area are beautifully made and all the flowers - there were so many we couldn’t count them. Very good location, you can take a 10 min walk to the beach, but the hotel does not have blankets, so that's something you need to bring for youself if you need a blanket to sleep at night. They only provide a very thin bedsheet.

The hotel staff were friendly and approachable. Food from the hotel kitchen tasted good and was well priced. Rooms were clean and there was a pool just outside my room. It was possible to clearly hear people playing in the pool, or eating by the room, when I was in my room. This was not an issue for me bu if you need more privacy, I would recommend looking for a room further away from the pool.

Spent a day out at Seaclouds Unawatuna and it was a pretty chill experience. The pool was nice clean and perfect for a relaxing swim. The hotel was booked out but the owner was able to find us a room with our own private bathroom. The bathroom was outdoors just around the corner from our bedroom. The AC unit was broken upon arrival, although it took awhile to fix, the owner took prompt action and was very kind to us. The experience started poor but better throughout our stay.

The Villa Baywatch is a very small hotel set in the most spectacular gardens. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable and an ensuite with shower. They are equipped with tea & coffee making facilities and a fridge. The area is very quiet, a short walk to Jungle Beach and a tuktuk ride to Unawatatuna. I am in pleasure to direct the hotel, a glamorous place of comfort and the sun kissed beach view not only, very calm and quiet environment, but also, very friendly and hospitable service by the hotel staff as well. Had a room on the top floor and it was amazing. Balcony over looked the beach. The room looked and felt clean. The cabanas on the beach were comfortable. The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious. We loved staying here and would come back here anytime.

It is not that much a big place.. somethings are not as shown in the pictures.. it is like a hotel scheme. Rooms are not that much bad. Bud should renovate or do something.. room service is not good only a soap was there.. no shampoo, conditioner or body showers.. at least no water bottle in the room. Of course, the hotel staff is very friendly. It's nice that everything is relatively new. BUT!!!! The roosters have been crowing since 3 a.m. And if you're looking for a good night's sleep, this is definitely not the place for you! The road to the beach is across a highway with motorbikes and minibuses racing just 10 cm away, and that's very DANGEROUS!! Consider whether it's worth saving for your safety...

We stayed for four days, first on the first floor, then three more on the third. The third floor includes a balcony, so it's more expensive. What I didn't like about the first floor was the constant presence of people walking around and the only decent window, which also doubles as the door, was impossible to open. It was a good stay. The room was comfortable and clean. However, there are a few things that need to be addressed. There are no plug points, except just 2, into which the bedside lamps were plugged in. No place to plug any computer or even a phone charger unless you have a multi socket adapter. Breakfast was good and generous.

After a morning at turtle beach we walked up the beach and found Shanthi Beach Resort, the perfect spot for some lunch. We sat overlooking the ocean and ate omelette and prawn fried rice. The food was delicious, what you’d expect from a beach side restaurant, nothing fancy but very flavourful. A nice beach resort. Old resort which should be at least 40 years old. The rooms are neat. Particularly the one close to the beach. The facilities of some of the rooms may be slightly increased as it appears very old. The food is very good and we can have the food in the beachfront. Nice beach view. The hotel manager was very friendly and kind. The staff were friendly also. The location of the hotel was perfect, it had a great view and was with great swimming opportunities. The rooms were clean and tidy. The food was normal and there was a lot to choose from.

Cosy hotel on Unawatuna beach in Sri Lanka. Room was ok, equipped with AC and vent, was cleaned upon request. Internet connection was also fine. For breakfast they serve some pasta, rice, eggs, curry, fresh fruits, tea and coffee with toasts. Free sun beds are available for hotel guests.
