Wave Beach Resort in Unawatuna

A good place if you want to stay near the ocean. Here the waves aren’t extremely intensive, so you can go swimming even with kids.
The room is normal. If you need a water or fresh towels you can ask on the receptionist.
There are also a towels for the beach as well as a place to lay at the beach for the customers. It free of charge.
In the evening there is a loud music, so if you’re planning to go to bed earlier then 10, ask a room at the top.
The stuff was helpful and when we had difficulties with the fridge they changed it immediately.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at this hotel! 🌟 The rooms were spotless, with beautiful views over the sea that made waking up each morning a true pleasure. The location couldn’t be better — right on the first line of the beach, with sunbeds and everything you need to enjoy a perfect day by the sea

What really stood out, however, was the service. The staff were beyond exceptional — always attentive, warm, and genuinely willing to help with anything. For example, I once lost my sunglasses, and they contacted the place where I thought I’d left them, spoke directly with the owner, and even arranged a TukTuk to get me there. On the last day, before my flight, we spent the whole day at the beach — they kept our luggage safe and still let us use all of the hotel’s services, including the showers, so we could travel feeling fresh and relaxed.

This kind of care and hospitality is rare to find, and it made our stay truly memorable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking not only for a beautiful beachfront escape but also for service that makes you feel completely taken care of. I can’t wait to come back!

Excellent hotel. Incredibly beautiful views from the balcony to the ocean. Very attentive staff, ready to help with everything. A good beach, where it is pleasant to swim without waves even out of season. Delicious breakfasts, yes monotonous, but did not go hungry. Dishes and drinks on the menu are cheaper than in other hotels. There are some shortcomings in the room, but the beach erases them from memory. Definitely recommend

Very good views of the beach and sea.

We had a rest at the end of November and were absolutely delighted with the hotel! The hotel is located on the coast, you don't have to go far to the beach, everything is clean and well-kept. There are sun loungers, but there are not many of them, so it is better to reserve them in advance. We had a room with a stunning view of the ocean. In the morning we enjoyed the sunrises, in the evening we fell asleep to the sound of the surf. Not life, but a fairy tale :) Saturdays are quite noisy there, since there are discos in the neighboring establishment. But it did not bother us much. Those who could not fall asleep, went to the party)) The room had a kettle, air conditioning, fan. At the reception you could take adapters for sockets. Bed linen and towels are not ideal, but it was not critical for us. By the way, there is no shampoo and gel (only soap), so you need to take your own. You should also ask for cleaning in the room yourself, as well as water. It is very important to note the friendly staff, who are always ready to help and answer all questions. We felt extremely comfortable and cozy, just like at home. It is also worth mentioning the breakfasts at this hotel. They are served on the coast with a beautiful view of the ocean, which creates an unforgettable atmosphere. Although the breakfast menu is the same (omelette or fried eggs to choose from), the portions are quite large, plus there is always fresh fruit. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay at this hotel. We left with the desire to return) I recommend it to anyone who wants to have a great vacation on the ocean coast.
