Poor attitude towards locals. I made a booking via Agoda, when I arrived to the place they said they do not accept bookings from Agoda and they’ve disputes with them.
If so, why do they kept their account on Agoda? What a joke!
Owner didn’t even care to listen to me. Drunken fool! Ruined my vacation.
No Parking as well. NOT RECOMMENDED ⚠️

Poor Service at all for Locals.. Manager was quite okay with two staff who call Sadun and Pasindu. But when they served for locals ,hotel owner barking at them, and telling not to serve locals… Owner and his wife both are behaving like locals are staying at there home for free of charge, Owner is a retired army officer and he is thinking it’s his commanding army camp😅😅😅… Not satisfied about foods also. Worst experience which i ever had for whole lifetime… Not recommend at all..

Perfect location and the friendliest staff! Big room with balcony and sea view. Great to see the sunrise! It’s amazing that you are right at the beach but you can easily walk to the main road. You can eat at the hotel or find different restaurants and shops just when you step out the hotel. Also for sunset it’s only a 5-10min Walk to a very nice Location. Perfect if you want to be at the beach but also in walking distance for restaurants and shops.

My favourite place in Unawatuna.
The loud music outside the resort is a real problem. It has been thudding all night and all morning. It will chase tourists away, kids don't spend the dollars the country needs. Adults do. Why is this allowed? We come for peace

Poor attitude towards local guests.. all services are available for foreigners only. Even though the restaurant is ryt on the beach the restaurant users are not allowed to use the shower facilities. This is the way they treat the locals who are coming to support their business at times like this. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

The view is excellent. But the hotel is not upto standard. There were power failures all day long. They mension it in the back of the room door. But if it is the case the price is not reasonable. Even we had to wait nearly 1hr to get the ordered food in the restaurant. Food in the restaurant is not upto standard either. They served samba for rice. Even for standard prices. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. Room isn't clean. They haven't made the bed untill we get to the room. Room is not clean. And the AC did not work properly. Hot water was not available at some times. Overall the location is good. But there was not parking area. One vehicle can get to it. But the staff is good and friendly.

It was a wonderful stay at the Wave Beach Resort. We came for a whole weekend in March and the owner was sweet enough to give an AC room for a very very reasonable price. The cook made me a delicious spicy bbq fresh fish (paraw) with white wine sauce. I loved it. And we had amazing homely service. I truly with them all the best during this hard times.
