Hotel Royal in Geneva

The hotel is very close to the train station. The room was spacious and lovely, and the breakfast was abundant and delicious. They also provide a free public transport pass for tourists, valid from check-in day until 5 AM the day after check-out. It's incredibly convenient and saved us a lot on transportation costs!

This five-star hotel, once home to Charlie Chaplin, offers cozy rooms that are a tad small but very comfortable. The lobby also has entertainment facilities.

I had a really nice stay at this hotel. Check-in was quick and easy, and the staff were friendly and helpful the whole time. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The bed was especially cozy, which made it easy to get a good night’s sleep.
The hotel itself was well kept, and the common areas felt welcoming. I also liked the location—it was convenient and close to places I wanted to visit. Overall, it was a smooth and comfortable experience, and I’d definitely consider staying here again.

Great location just a few hundred metres from the main railway station. Tram stop right outdoors and surrounded by good range of shops and restaurants.
Rooms are air conditioned, spacious and have good facilities such as safe, fridge and good wardrobe space.
Bathroom is decent size although shower position confusing as spray often caused the floor to be get wet.
Tea and coffee making facilities in the room but did have to ask for normal tea as only flavoured
offered. Our room was facing the street and although on the 4th floor was quite noisy.
Staff on reception were nice and helpful and we benefited from the free Geneva travel card for our stay.

The room was clean and tidy, with a classic, elegant decor. The furniture was exquisite, giving it a very stylish feel. The bedding was comfortable, making for a very good night's sleep. The room also had air conditioning, a TV, a mini-fridge, and thoughtful touches like tea and coffee making facilities. However, the room isn't particularly spacious, so if you have a lot of luggage, the moving space might feel a bit cramped.

The hotel boasts an excellent location, directly opposite a Coop supermarket, and with the Line 15 tram stop right outside, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. We were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade to a suite, which included a kitchen and dining area. It was incredibly comfortable for three people. They also provided free city transport cards, which was a really nice touch!

Service: The gentleman at the front desk was incredibly friendly and welcoming; I even taught him a Chinese phrase! He also recommended the P2 pub to us.

Facilities: The elevator was hilarious; I'd never seen anything like it before.

There are many hotels around Geneva train station, as it's a common transit point for people heading to other Swiss cities. However, this hotel felt quite dated. The rooms were small, and the air conditioning wasn't effective.

The hotel boasts an excellent location. It's just a few minutes' flat walk from the train station, and the lake is also easily reachable within about 10 minutes on foot.

There are two 4-star Manotel hotels side-by-side. One appears more contemporary. I booked this one, expecting a more traditional or classic feel. To my surprise, only the lobby had a classic European style; the rooms were very modern, likely recently renovated.

Despite being a hotel, the kitchen facilities are surprisingly comprehensive and impeccably clean.

We booked a triple room, which was a good size, featuring a large bed and a sofa bed. The duvet provided for the sofa bed was rather thin, but the main bed was incredibly comfortable. The room came with a good selection of amenities, including slippers, shower caps, cotton swabs, toiletries, and coffee capsules.

The bathroom heating was on, but we couldn't manage to turn off the air conditioning in the room. As we arrived past 11 PM and had an early departure the next morning, we decided to just make do and get some sleep.

Breakfast was quite impressive, offering a generous spread including smoked salmon, a variety of hot and cold meats, and golden kiwi fruit.

The lobby also features a piano for guests' use.
