Disclaimer: I didn’t actually stay here, yet. I wandered in while lost in Saas-Fee village, and lured by the smell. The manager did not just solve my problems, she made staying here in the future irresistible. Just look at the backyard view (or maybe your window view). The place is now officially on my to-do list. At CHF 140/night in mid-season, it’s pretty reasonable, by Swiss standards. Flagging this place to remind myself for next time.

This is an issue if you might arrive late or want to leave your bags in the morning after checking out. The hotel is absolutely serious about wanting you to contact them before you arrive to confirm your arrival time although the email they sent to me had no return email address. The bed (although not the pillows) was comfortable and the hot water and wifi both worked well. In-room safe was not large enough for a computer. In contrast to many smaller Swiss hotels, there's scrambled eggs and bacon for breakfast. My room had a great view of the mountains. The staff were helpful and friendly and spoke good English. In contrast to some Saas-Fee hotels, my Saastal card was already printed when I checked-in. If you leave luggage, it is left in the bar area so there's no real security for it.

The place was awesome. The Larix is entirely refurbished. New, comfortable furniture - everything was great from the beds/linens to fixtures. It was very comfortable and thoroughly clean. Hosts were absolutely friendly and awesome. Even their puppy, Summit, a Bernese Doodle welcomed us and made it feel more like home. This was my best hotel experience ever. I will for sure go back there for weekends throughout the year. They have secure storage for skis and bikes inside the building. Very cozy library room/common area with fireplace. Wonderfully decorated with careful attention to detail. I plan to return in a few months.

Never stayed at the hotel itself so this review only considers the outdoor area last week, during Covid times.
Spent a few hours sitting outside, enjoying the sun, a few beers and some fries, and absorbed the snowy skiing atmosphere which was absolutely lovely.
I'll be back during Summer time 😎

Awful food in outdoor area - smells of stale oil and tastes the same. Soup full of fat. Truly awful.

Huge après-ski bar directly at the end of the ski-run. One of the best places to have a drink after skiing. Friendly staff, typical "Après-ski" music (Austrian style) and a great variety of beers, cocktails, drinks etc.

Excellent simple fresh home cooked food, much appreciated when eating out every evening. Excellent children’s menu. Salad buffet simple and delicious. Staff super friendly and helpful. They even were easily able to cater to Laktose free.
Only negative was my salmon wasn’t cooked enough for my liking, 5mm cooked bit on all sides and rest raw, I was too tired to send it back.
