Lovely hotel with great facilities for skiing in a lovely resort.

Super convenient to reach the cable car (either bus or 10 minutes walk); the ski deposit opposite the gondola is great! The room was incredibly clean and spacious with a lovely view. The restaurant is A M A Z I N G! Truly fantastic food. We had half board treatment. Breakfast and dinner. The chef really knows his stuff! Tea and cake in the afternoon as well. The owners and staff were welcoming and super efficient. Such a relaxing atmosphere. Very good value for money ! Such a pleasure to spend a week at Allalin! We will definitely come back !!!!

Spacious comfortable room with a mountain view. Warm welcome and super hosting throughout. Delicious dinners, good breakfast, and cake to welcome us back after a day on the slopes.

We had a great 4 days in the hotel. The rooms are great, the shower is great and the staff are excellent and the breakfast is also excellent.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Allalin. It is a very well run family hotel, clean and comfortable with nice rooms. We were half board and the food was excellent. All of the staff and family running the hotel are helpful and friendly.

Super clean, spacious room with especially comfy beds, a welcoming and friendly service throughout our stay, a hearty and high quality breakfast topped off by wonderful views of the mountains. Sometimes you can't put your finger on what you're really looking for from your hotel. However, Hotel Allalin has set a standard that will be difficult for others to match. We stayed for 14 days (booked through Inghams) so have a good experience on which to base this review. Everything from arrival to departure was absolutely perfect. As a car free resort, we were met at the bus station by a member of the team in one of the small electric vehicles which hum around the streets of the town. A couple of minutes later we were checking in. (Walking distance is 5-10mins, slightly uphill.) Whilst not smack bang in the middle of the town, Saas-Fee is small so we found the location to be absolutely fine with a short 5ish min walk to the main area of the shops and attractions. The hotel has a boutique feel and a good size for us... I'd say 50 rooms or so. You rarely bumped into anyone outside of the dining room, never had to wait for the lift or to talk to the team at reception. A very quiet and calming environment. The decor beautifully combines modern and traditional, with original artwork from the hotel family and traditional work carving. Room and public spaces were always spotless. We were incredibly fortunate to have our room upgraded on arrival which was gratefully appreciated. Up on the 4th floor, there was a large living area with bathroom, double bed, chairs, TV and access to the balcony with stunning views of the mountains. Stairs led up to a mezzanine where there was a wardrobe (with safe) and bath with 2x large Velux windows. A door led to a separate bedroom with a double bed, wardrobe and sink. The small details were all ticked off... from the excellent towels to top quality hairdryer! There was no kettle in the room but this was provided on request from reception. Equally there was no mini-bar/fridge - this would have been nice as I'm a sucker for a cold drink (particularly as we benefited from 2 weeks of solid sunshine) but not an issue I was overly bothered about. The room did get warm and as is normal in the Alps, there was no AC... evenings/nights were cool so leaving the windows/balcony open helped - Saas-Fee doesn't seem to have an insect problem so again no worries with this. The food was delicious. Breakfast was plentiful with a typical selection of cereals, fruits and pastries. A selection of fresh loaves were available, so fresh they were still warm. Hot selection was limited to scrambled eggs and bacon. Evening meals were probably the best we've experienced in the Alps... with a starter, choice of 2 soups (typically cream and a broth), salad bar, choice or 2 mains (meat and vegetarian) and a desert. Portion sizes were judged perfectly. On one evening each week we even got to experience a genuine Swiss fondue... a broth fondue in the hotel and a cheese fondue in a neighbouring restaurant. Is a 4 star hotel but service is good and all the staff are very helpful. Requested for an electric kettle and 2 cups and spoons in the room and they were promptly bought up. Room is spacious and have a working table. Shower is easy to operate but is bathtub which is very slippery. Rooms provide bathrobe and slippers. The sauna is on demand, call when you're ready to head down. Sauna area was surprisingly new, very clean and looks great! We especially love their breakfast as the pastries were hot, crispy and so yummy! Dinner starts at 6:30pm - thank you! Finally after being in Italy for a while, everyone starts so late is making things not easy for hiking.
