This hotel is in the center of Zermatt and is surrounded by a lovely garden. It is run by a second-generation family member, and she does an outstanding job. The hotel staff knows Zermatt very well and will help direct your stay. The hotel is spotless and has a classic mountain alpine feel and appearance. Would strongly recommend.
Thor and Michelle were exceptional hosts. Each morning, Michelle greeted us with our coffee order at the included breakfast, while Thor took the time to help us plan our ski routes for the day. He checked conditions and tailored recommendations to our experience level. Their local dining suggestions were spot on, and we enjoyed some great conversations with them.
We stayed in the cabin built by Michelle’s great-great-grandfather, a charming and cozy retreat. The bed was comfortable, and the water was hot with good pressure. A little tip—don’t forget anything upstairs; it’s tricky to retrieve in ski boots! The bedding was soft and inviting, making for restful nights.
The property also offers a convenient pickup and drop-off option, making transportation a breeze. Plus, there’s a secure area to store your skis, which is a great touch after a long day on the slopes.
