Horrible hotel, horrible staff - rude and no service or whatsoever. A simple kettle cannot be found in the whole hotel and they can’t even provide to you when you ask, which is nonsense for this price and star hotel.
Food - beyond 0, I have never seen such horrible and awful food in a hotel, and it’s not even enough for the guests, nothing is left properly to eat.
Staff - rude, unprofessional, 0 service and not cooperative
Area - I don’t understand people being amazed by the fake masais, or whatever they claim them to be. I came here to relax and not to avoid 50 people chasing me like zombies over the beach and wanting to buy something from them, this is not part of culture, so don’t bulshit me. I came with my family here but instead of relax, it’s a nightmare I wanted it to end asap.
Lastly, everything is in Italian even the activities and shows, not that we want to participate but as if like we are not part of this hotel or we didn’t paid for the same thing.

Great place to stay. Friendly stuff, confortablr rooms, good food and best entertiment team ever. Clean pool, security 24/7, show every evening, not too many people. Stable wifi and electricity. Quite nights, every toom with terrace and monkeys arround

We stayed in this little resort fro one week and we couldn't ask for anything better. The staff was kind and always available to help you. The cuisine is delicious and we could also ask for snacks all day long with all inclusive package. It overlooks Nungwi beach with is the most iconic in Zanzibar. Hope to come back!

Vera Sunset Beach Resort in Zanzibar boasts a splendid location right by the beach, offering picturesque views and a serene atmosphere. Overall, the resort provides a pleasant experience; however, there are areas that could use improvement. While the food was average, the lack of an à la carte option was a bit disappointing. The drinks, though adequate, seemed slightly diluted. Additionally, our room had a noticeable moldy smell, and both the room and beach towels were of poor quality, detracting from the otherwise enjoyable stay. Despite these drawbacks, the resort's beautiful beachfront setting does offer a redeeming quality.

pleasant hotel in the garden. could have been more green. large rooms simply furnished. pictures are missing. the mattresses in room 109 are as hard as concrete, but this is not the case in all rooms. the beach is great, clean and you can swim all day. small tides. sometimes noise from the hotel next door. nightlife weak.beautiful sunsets. small choice of food in the restaurant if you are longer, but you can go elsewhere.

The resort itself seems to be Ok - I have not stayed there overnight. Very low quality of the service for outsiders, the guys at the bar were very rude, disorganized, provided very confusing information. As outsider, you can only use the sunbed, you will be kicked out of the swimming pool even if buying drinks and food.
Prices are rather high - from 10 USD for starters or snacks, přívěs in USD only, espresso costs 4 USD. They charged me 10% extra for card payment.
The place itself is nice, location is great, but the service spoiled my day. Wifi is not working.

A very strong smell of mold in the rooms.
The towels in the rooms are big but old , there was a dead bug inside of one of the towels .
The beds has only one bed linen and when you ask for blankets they give you bed cover, or as my daughter said - first time for me to sleep with a table map..
The worst smell is in the shower, and the . It entrance to it.
It was too much for me. We didn't like that the roads between the rooms and all over the hotel, is just sand, you can't walk without getting sand between your fingers, and the room keep getting dirty because of that.

One more thing is that if lunch is not included, and you want to eat in the hotel then you would pay 25$ per person which is not cheap. The alternative is to order food to your room and it would be way more cheaper.
The final thing - when you get to the beach, you would immediately get this sense of inconvenience because there are many local people that would literally run after you trying to sell you things.
If you are not disturbed by those things ,then it will probably be good for you.
Had I known all of this before I came here, I wouldn't stay here.
.

The positive side is that it well located in the north. The service is good, and the hotel is beautiful.

A 3 star Hotel at best! I wouldn't recommed staying here. The hotel is in a great location so maybe that's why it's 4 star, however, the reception staff are awful and lack basic customer care. They as well as the security are biased against black guests which is bizarre as it a hotel in Africa. It was the most unafrican hotel I've stay in during my 5 week long vacation between zanzibar and mainland Tanzania. They prioritise Italian guests and do not hide this fact. I was stopped on a daily basis by security and asked if I was staying at the hotel! Despite me staying for almost a week. ” I choose to stay at Veraclub sunset beach after travelling around Zanzibar and mainland Tanzania for the past 5 weeks. I stayed in 2 other hotels in the same area. One was 5 star and the other was 3 and decided on veraclub because I wanted the same location but for cheaper than the 5 star hotel I stayed in 2 doors down. Let's start with the postives: The location is stunning and right on the beach. The room is large, but dated and had a good size bathroom although there were no sprays attached to the toilet to clean yourself, which I thought was weird as Zanzibar is predominantly Muslim. The view from the room is also nice. Now for the cons: I stayed on a b&b basis as I am familiar with the area and wanted to eat in the local restaurants for the variety. On arrival I had travelled from mainland Tanzania so didn't check in until late. I slept as I was tired and didn't go to dinner until 9.10pm. I asked what was available and was told nothing. As there was hardly anything left from the buffet I said no problem what can I order? And was told nothing as the kitchen is closed?? So I ordered food from one of the nearby restaurants I had eaten from prior. I then experienced a bizarre interaction with the night reception staff and security. By the time the food came it was shortly before 10pm. The security refused to let the delivery through. The delivery man called me to come to reception to collect the food but then wasn't allowed entry to bring the food to me. I asked the receptionist what issue was and then was told several different stories, firstly apparently someone was drunk at the gate asking to be let in and because the person was black as I am black they assumed it was to do with me? I was taken aback so I said I am hungry and haven't eaten since I left Dar es Salaam at 4pm. I ordered my dinner as there is option to eat. The night manager then came and told me you are not allowed to order food. I asked him if he was crazy and didn't realise I was a paying guest. I didn't understand as the hotel doesn't have room service the facility to order outside of the buffet times (the dinner buffet finishes is 7.30-9 30pm); I am not sure what he expected me to do? Then there was the daily stops and checks by security as at the time I was the second of 2 black guests in the hotel. I didn't realise what was happening at first until I noticed that only myself and the

Rooms of a decent standard, efficient air conditioning, working fridge, safe for free. Great lunches and dinners, something different every day, always tasty. Cold beer and a choice of red and white wine with lunch and dinner. The drinks in the ALL option are very weak, basically just something similar to juice. All alcoholic beverages are charged extra $6 each. The only problem is the animations, and the animators themselves. With a few exceptions, they speak only Italian, all entertainment is Italian. The worst thing, however, is that the animators completely ignore English-speaking guests. The hotel management should do something about it.
