Maisha Nungwi in Nungwi

We had a lovely time in this hotel, it’s a little paradise. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful also with program recommendations. They have a very good restaurant and also a beach bar with sunbeds and with an extraordinary view. The fruits they gave with the breakfast were very tasty.
The rooms were clean and they sprayed our room every day with antimosquito spray. They offer a lot of programs as well like jazz night or morning yoga, massage. We’re really enjoyed our stay. I hope that we can return.

The hotel has a great ambience, along with a lovely pool and well‑maintained amenities, making the stay relaxing and enjoyable. The staff were truly friendly and helpful, always readily available when we needed assistance.
One of the highlights is the excellent location, very close to Nungwi Beach, which made it easy to spend time by the beach and fully enjoy the surroundings.
The restaurant staff were fantastic and went out of their way to recommend the best food options based on our dietary requirements, which we really appreciated.
A point worth noting is that this property feels more suitable for couples rather than families with kids. The restrooms do not have doors, and the open balconies may not be ideal or completely safe for young children.
That said, overall it is a good hotel with great service, location, and atmosphere, especially for couples looking for a relaxing beachside stay.

The Maisha Nungwi was a wonderful place to start our honeymoon! The people were extraordinary, friendly and helpful. The Beach Bar/Restaurant is awesome, the food is great, the view is beautiful. We recommend booking the Nungwi walking Tour with Izzy (!) The dolphin/snorkelling experience was also great. There were some small "hiccups" like a lot of mosquitos even tho the hotel tries to keep them away from you and the beds were a bit hard to sleep on, but the people and the beautiful place made more than up for it!

We really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere at Nungwi Beach Boutique Hotel. They have great location. It is true, that it is not on the beach, but it is a minute away. As well as their second bigger restaurant, which is on the beach and has an amazing sunset atmosphere at the dinner. We enjoyed food there very much and staff was so friendly. The room was clean and well equipped with both air conditioning and a fan as well as with strong hair dryer. There are two pools to relax by. I would recommend it and would cone here again.

It was such a lovely place, beautiful atmosphere and very friendly staff. Loved how the manager would come in every morning and greet everyone, it showed how person-centred the hotel was.
They were really lovely with helping with hiring a car and knowing what other things to do in Zanzibar even if it wasn’t part of the hotel!
We got moved into a room with a jacuzzi on the last few days of our stay! My husband and I loved it. All in all the hotel was beautiful! Staff were amazing! I couldn’t even fault them even if I wanted to. They make such a great effort with all their customers and having beautiful smiles to welcome you every morning is always a bonus ❤️ Thank you Aluna Nungwi staff it was a phenomenal experience, short but sweet. 1000% recommendations to anyone going to Zanzibar!

The hotel is great, 2 little pools inside the garden, stuff are super nice.

There is a beach club owned by the hotel. Beach chairs, food & drinks are all within a walkable distance.

Downside - wifi is not very stable inside the hotel, beach club has a better connection in general. The water stopped twice when i wanted to take a shower, eventually i went down to the pool shower.

In one line this is a place that is must visit at least once in a lifetime.
The staff are very friendly specially Muba. The villas are spacious and super comfortable. The experience of staying at Aluna Nungwi is unforgettable. The food is always on point 🤤

Very welcoming environment, with a very friendly staff and located in a literally one minute walking from Nungwi beach, which you can amazingly enjoy with a nice drinks and amazing food provisioned by the beach club which is part of the same structure.
We were so satisfied about the quality of the food that we considered pointless to explore any other place for dinner, and the breakfast was offering a very good selection of sweet and savoury alternative.
Definitely suggest their chocolate cream, it's awesome.
Very nice selection of excursions, which will make your experience of Zanzibar unforgettable.

Loved it here. Beautiful garden, great rooms especially one with jacuzzi. Great breakfast with multiple options of 3 course menu. Lunch and dinner at superb quality and freshness. We were sad to be leaving
