The Nungwi Inn Hotel in Nungwi

We stayed here for 5 nights and it was the best place to stay! Our room was nice, a bit out dated but it had everything we needed and it was clean. The location of the hotel was perfect, on the beach with their own beach lounge chairs to use. The beach was never affected with the tide whereas other hotels nearby, their beach disappeared with the tide and not many other places had beach lounge chairs to use. The food was great and the staff was all friendly and accommodating! Would recommend.

There not enough words to describe our stay in this beautiful hotel. Starting from Reception and personally Sarah, who was super welcome and always helpful! Continue with our room ( we booked sea view, villa 3) and housekeeping daily perfect job! Amazing breakfast ( thank you chef for the best owlet ever and all guys for your caring and smiling faces). And of course Fatma...Fatma and 100 more times Fatma :) she is the star of the Hotel and i can say Zanzibar. Location is amazing, room super clean and cosy, staff very friendly, all what you need ( restaurants, bars, markets, money exchange is 1-2 min a way). I'm already planning my next trip and only in Nungwi Inn Beach Cottages!!

We walked the entire beach of Nungwi, and our hotel was definitely the best. The sun beds on the beach (most of the hotels don’t have such luxury), security (not that it’s dangerous there, but the guys selling excursions and souvenirs are just too many and it becomes annoying; - security of our hotel kept everyone away from the hotel guests), the beach is super clean (and so are the rooms, restaurant and all the facilities). Rooms are simple, and you have everything you need. We booked a sea view room - highly recommended! Waking up to the sound of waves and the sea view is priceless. (We were staying in room number 3.) The staff of the hotel is unbelievable. We fell in love with Fatma, Sarah, Neema and so many other team members (sorry, I can’t remember all the names). Their hospitality is second to none. They will remember you, your orders and they always look so genuinely happy to be there for you. My friend was celebrating her birthday during our stay. Needless to say, Fatma and the team went out of their ways to make it super special. Food for great - I’ve never had such an awesome omelette in my life. Thank you, Chef! Breakfast was simple, but tasty. Evenings - happy hours and live music few times a week. The musicians were great! We got back yesterday and we just keep missing that place already. Looking forward to coming back and definitely again to Nungwi Inn Beach Cottages. Thank you all!

We had a brilliant time at Nungwi Inn Beach Cottages. We had cottage 2 with a sea view and stayed 5 nights. The place is beautiful! Whilst some of the reviews mention the rooms being run-down, I was pleasantly surprised - the value for money of this place is amazing compared to the other accommodation we stayed at in Stone Town and Jambiani. The staff were so friendly and always up for helping and making our trip one to remember.

Everything excellent!! The best location in zanzibar! Food was very good... all day and night security people were everywhere and most important during day..due to the annoying beachboys!! Only rooms need renovation!! Katerina George

The hotel has the best beach facility in the Nungwi area. Shady tree area is available for an escape from the really hot sun. Beach loungers available. Rooms are clean and comfortable with a/con. Beach towels available. Food is very average. Cocktail drinks are not great. Prices for drinks and food are not the best in the area. Waiter service is poor and slow from the bar area. Security is tight on the hotel on- beach area. Can't be hassled by traders. Nevertheless, it was a worthwhile restful holiday. Local pubs and restaurants are within close walking distance. They trade only in Shillings.

Amazing, Amazing, Amazing!

I was traveling with 2 friends in Zanzibar in September 2019.
We had a wonderful time at Kipepeo Backpackers.
Simple, but very beautiful rooms. It feels like sleeping in the nature, because you can hear the sound of the nature while you are in the bed.
Also nice toilet and shower:)

The location is very good. In less then 3 minutes walk you are at the beach. The best thing: You can just walk left (direction west) and you will catch up all the busy, but nice beaches from Nungwi. And if you walk right (direction East) you will find all the beautiful, lonely beaches and even amazing sandbanks.

Shedrock (the owner) and his team are one of the most friendly people I have met during my time in Zanzibar.
If you need any recommendations or local tipps, just ask him. He knows the island like his pocket.
