Sea View Bungalow Hotel

The place is located on the steep hill on the outskirts of the village - to get there requires some physical prowess. The surroundings are iffy - lots of garbage strewn around, but at least you get to see how the locals live. We were promised that somebody would meet us at the pier - we could not find a person and had to walk 20 min to the place. On the positive side the owner was quite pleasant during our stay and was genuinely interested in our plans. The breakfast was good - stick to the fried rice or just plain eggs. The French toast was just a toast (nothing remotely French about it). You could hear the music emanating from the beach till the early morning (2-3 AM) but it was manageable. All in all, I would stay elsewhere if I were to recommend a place to stay.

We chose this hotel for the view, secluded location and affordable price. On arrival we had a great view but just a bench on the balcony to enjoy it. But it is earned at the end of a very steep climb of around ten minutes from the center of Tonsaï. The cabins/rooms are in the middle of welcome trees where monkeys roamed around. On the other hand, despite the isolation, we totally "enjoyed" the very noisy evenings on the beaches below until 3 a.m.... Add poor soundproofing and curtains that do not cut out the light and I would especially recommend this hotel is for young people. Decent room for the price. Staff doing the essentials but no more. To bring luggage up to the hotel when we arrived which was very welcome.
