Sea Garden Resort - Haad Chao Phao in Haad Yao

Honestly a terrible experience! Room was dirty and had an awful smell of canalisation. The window in the bathroom was broken, insects everywhere... Also the bed was very uncomfortable and not clean. But the worst part was the deposit of 1000 Baht which I didn't get back. Aleksandra, the manager, was absolutely unfriendly and disrespectful when I wanted to know the reason for her keeping the deposit. She said it was because of my delayed check-out time. I came for check out around 11:45, check-out time was 11:00. Understandable in a way, but when I came back, all of my stuff was thrown outside the bungalow. This is unprofessional and rude. When I confronted her respectfully about my money, she was super unfriendly, ignorant and even got violent. This is super unusual for Koh Phangan and was just shocking to me, since I only experienced good and welcoming encounters on the island. Also the room was way too expensive for what it offers. If you want to have a good time just stay away from the resort. Koh Phangan has way better places to offer with heartwarming and friendly welcomings. This was outrageous!

This property is nothing less than a SCAM. BEWARE OF STAYING HERE.
long story short, the room we booked had no pictures on the website. When we arrived we were surprised to see that the room is dirty, built in a very unsafe and incomplete way. There were BUGS all over the shower which was not fully blocked from the outside. Sheets were dirty.
When trying to reach the staff for an option to move a room the staff was rude and unpleasant. We ended up checking out ONE DAY AFTER CHECKING IN because of how underwhelming and inconvenient was the “room”. I sincerely recommend anyone to find an alternative and stay away from there.

While struggling with our own room we met another girl who booked 12 days at the resort, who had to manage a room where the shower has NO DOOR AND THERE ARE SNAILS ALL OVER THE FLOOR….

A disaster! The worst place we have ever been! We arrived and left a deposit of 1000 baht, there is no air conditioning, no fridge, it is very small with just a mosquito net with a hole, torn and dirty! The photos are misleading, the bungalow is more like a cabin of very poor quality, worn and damaged..... I have several photos to support this! They had put paint on the floor to remove a stain, it was not dry, it smelled very strongly of paint when we arrived, in addition it was at the entrance to the bed and at the entrance to the bathroom, in the end we walked on it in the night without meaning to, we had lots of paint on our feet, the toilet had not been flushed, with "tire" marks and urine at the bottom, yuck! Bathroom open to the outside, mold stains everywhere, sink faucet tinkered with, meh, when we flushed the toilet in the night it wouldn't stop, it took us half an hour to try to stop it. The worst thing was the mattress!! A very, very poor quality spring mattress, they added something on top that looked more like a floor mat, it was so hard that it only made the mattress more uncomfortable! We asked if they had a solution to offer us because of course when we woke up we had pain everywhere: back, neck...! She told us no, it was the same in all the bungalows... she could have given us a better quality bungalow because there were always availabilities online, but I think that money and being able to rent was more important than the well-being of her customers... the small terrace only damaged benches too they had to repaint often everywhere to hide the misery and no table. Only a small trash can in the bathroom and to top it all off one of the steps to go up to the bungalow completely collapsed under our weight they repaired it with a wooden plank! Behind this hut it's dirty! There is barbed wire, the water from the bungalow of another resort behind it spills out. The view is facing a wall, the beach access is not far but frankly not great dilapidated, broken stone benches, the sea water is dirty too.... No room service, nor breakfast Do not trust the photos especially! We paid dearly! much too expensive! *know that for a little more than half the price a few days before on panghan we had really better with air conditioning, fridge, real terrace, kitchen and especially a comfortable mattress and for the same price (1 day less) at samiu a few days before too, we had a room with small private pool, sea view, air conditioning, fridge and kitchen, breakfast and room service! a 3 star! So we are really disappointed, it spoiled our last 4 days in Panghan a bit, we deserve a refund!
