Where to stay in Khao Lak

We came for 5 days and stayed here for almost 1 month as we loved the area and Ms. Kai so much! Ms. Kai and her staff are so gracious, kind, and their hospitality leaves a warm, lasting impression. My best stay in Thailand. Room was in the 4th floor which is a pain. But had all the ammenities, hot shower, good Wi-Fi and an amazing balcony. The lady from the staff was among the best I caught as well. Definitely would return when I come back to Khao Lak. Location is also prime. Right in the center without all the noise. We had a lovely stay! Clean Bungalows that offer everything you need. Daily roomservice with an extreme devoted cleaning Lady. The hosts were very nice and open for any question. This little place is hidden away from the main big road but close enough to all amenities (2km). It is a very quiet and relaxing spot. Simply a beautiful resort. This year for the second time. Very idyllic location, quiet and far from the hustle and bustle. Renting a scooter is recommended, however, as the facility is not directly on the beach. Breakfast very tasty and varied and the staff is always friendly and helpful. Would go to herbal again and again.

Hotel very well managed. Affectionate staff, always willing to help but not overwhelm. You need a bike because it is removed in the green at 30 meters high, safe from possible tsunamis. Clean and comfy rooms adjacent a nice pool area. Breakfast was good with eggs of your choice, fresh bread, fresh fruit, juice, tea and coffee. Location is quiet off the main road. It's a bit of a walk to beach but equidistant to the two town centres. We are happy walking so this was no issue to us and it was nice to be away from the road with the hills and jungle as a backdrop.

I really enjoyed spending one night in this cozy and stylish place. The hotel located not on the beach, but has a quiet natural location. The boss was very nice and polite, informed us about attractions around. A sauna was a great way to spend that rainy evening! We'd be happy to stay here again on occasion

The people that work there are incredible even by Thai standards. The pool is beautiful the grounds are immaculate.  Now the rooms are older. The hot water situation is a mystery.  The WiFi is hit or miss but that’s pretty much everywhere

Hong Was amazingly accommodating to the point where I had left my passport at the Phuket airport. She arrange for a car to get it and reassured me everything will be OK. She is a one woman army and takes care of that place so well. If I can give 10 stars for customer service I would. Anocha runs this little gem a few hundred feet east of the main road in Khao Lak. She is kind and helpful. The place is simple but kept nice and clean. There is a small restaurant on the premises for a great breakfast included in the price of the room. You can also rent scooters right there. Other authentic Thai restaurants are within walking distance. Tours and excursions can be arranged too....

We spent the day here while waiting to get on our liveaboard dive boat. Great hospitality. Excellent food in the restaurant. Lovely pool that I dipped into regularly throughout the day. Highly recommended.

My wife stayed here 3 nights. It was a beautiful hotel. Staff were very accommodating and nice. Have a huge pool and many walking paths. The beach area is not very crowded and quiet. The daily breakfast was very good. Hotel is walking distance to town and many restaurants. Our room was very clean and bed comfortable. My wife enjoyed big bath tub.

This was our first meal in Khao Lak having arrived on flight in early morning and we were both tired. It rained so hard we were lucky we were under the outside roofing. The food was ok and we were not staying in the hotel. It's basic but pleasant in a courtyard setting of a budget hotel.

the hotel is very clean. the staff is very friendly. we felt they went above and beyond for us during our stay here. the wifi stopped working after a storm so they moved our room for us. we really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend for anyone who wants to be in the city centre. the pool is nice and the restaurant has really delicious food and good prices.

Everything was perfect. The location is on the beach and near a few cool bars and restaurants. The front desk loaned me a mouse for my online work since I'd forgotten mine. Everyone was friendly. Our room was next to a noisy soi, which wasn't too bad with the windows closed, but they have more secluded rooms.

We cannot recommend this place enough! We rearranged our travel plans to stay here twice while in the Khak Lak area. Not only is the property exceptionally clean, the price is unbeatable for what you’re getting! The rooms are spectacular. There is excellent storage and extremely good attention to detail in this property. The pool is well-kept. It is a good size for a teens as well as for toddlers....

It’s okay. However, the wifi does not reach the room, the service is only available until about 11am and they cannot book anything for you, the patio of your room only has teo plastic chairs that aren’t very comfortable and the shower is very very weak and old. All in all it’s not bad, but the resorts around it seem a bit better.

It is a relaxing place to stay, away from busy streets. You have to walk as the resort is slightly far from the beach. Breakfast is good, I like the pancake with banana and honey! I had a problem with the water in the bathroom, but they fixed it immediately! The bed is a bit hard, with only one pillow per bed. Free big drinking water!

We had a wonderful time at Coconut Homes Khao Lak — one of the few properties that truly exceeded our expectations. From the friendly check-in to the smooth departure, everything was seamless. The property is exceptionally well maintained, with spacious living arrangements (we stayed in the studio-type bungalow), just an 8-minute walk from the beach. Best of all, the bungalow was pet-friendly.

The location is absolutely perfect. The cabins area is quiet all the time, but if you walk 30 meters out you'll be in a normal busy city for shopping and beach days. The good point is the breakfast. Otherwise it is not so comfortable to sleep with tough pillow and curtains very thin (so very bright early in the morning). Wifi is quite poor and the shower had a very low flow. All in all the resort is correct because cheap.

Krathom Khao Lak is situated in very Best place. City is right there and to the beach you walk about 15 min. Small pool area is veryvery nice and peaceful. And the sounds of jungle, wow!

For the price point, it's a nice spacious room that includes a refrigerator and a desk. Bed was a little springy. They have hot water for instant coffee (but no tea sadly). Several restaurants and a 7-11 a block away. Friendly hosts that also offer a taxi service.

I've stayed here for two nights, paid 500 baht per night, rooms were old but clean, tidy and ideal for short stay. Receptionists were extremely kind and helpful. Location is good because it's on the main road, near the beach and markets.
