Khaolak Palm Hill Resort in Khao Lak

A Little Gem!
Tucked away behind Moo 4, The Khao Lak Palm Hill Resort is a hidden gem.

Don’t expect beachfront chain hotel luxury but do expect rustic charm and a warm, friendly welcome.

Far enough away from the main road to be peaceful and tranquil but close enough to access everything that the area has to offer by way of shops, bars, restaurants and the beach.

The hotel has 49 large rooms, all surrounding a lovely pool and with the forest as a backdrop. There wasn’t one day that we didn’t get a sunbed and we didn’t have to set our alarms to get our towels on early.

The breakfast buffet was more than sufficient for our needs but, the main asset of this lovely resort are the wonderful staff. Everybody is helpful and friendly. Nothing is too much problem.

The owner and her family live on site and couldn’t have been more helpful with any queries or issues (we had no issue but did have a couple of queries which were dealt with instantly).

Nang Thing Beach is a 10-15 minute walk and these is a 7/11 3 minutes walk away.

Bang Niang Night Market and The Tsunami Memorial are a 200THB taxi ride and there are enough bars and restaurants in the locale to occupy every taste.

We will definitely be booking here the next time we visit Khao Lak (which will hopefully be soon)

Just having our last day of an amazing week at Khao Lak Palm Hill. From the moment we arrived it has been first class. Our room is simply beautiful. The place itself is spotlessly clean and the staff are just the loveliest people. It was our wedding anniversary 4 days ago and the owner bought me a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Nothing is too much trouble here. We are currently travelling around Thailand and this week has just been so so wonderful. We will be back next year without a doubt.

Beautiful place, garden. Large pool, large room. Acceptable breakfast. Of the minuses, it would be very beautiful if the facades of the buildings were painted, they would look fresh.

Small and cozy family owned hotel. Very friendly staff. Great breakfast. The pool is lovely. Short trip with tuc tuc to the perfect Coconut Beach. Hotel is on a small road but only one minute walk to main road, full of life. We will return again for sure.

What a little gem this resort is !!! Tucked away from the main road, ( so very little traffic noise ) yet only a 3 minute walk from the centre with many restaurants and bars. There is a lovely large pool ( very refreshing on a hot day ) The gardens are beautiful and very well maintained. Everything is very clean and fresh. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. I must give a special mention to jo, You can find him maintaining the pool, tending the gardens, or serving you a very delicious breakfast in the dining room. I cannot recommend palm hills enough. Well done Dee and her staff, keep up the good work, we will definitely be back !!! 👍👍👍

A friendly, compact resort ideal for small groups (we were a school group). The staff were superb and accommodated our changing needs. The pool is clean and a good size for our group. Breakfast was flexible to our dietary needs. The rooms are large and cleaned daily. There is a focus on sustainability regarding towels and changes to the bedding.

We (couple) stayed at this delightful family run home hotel for a few days. The place is so tranquil and peaceful. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and the owner speaks excellent Engish. We had no trouble getting a sun bed around a lovely and not overcrowed pool. The room was clean and we found the beds very comfortable. The hotel is conveniently located to the local shops, bars and restaurants would recommend for a very chilled stay.
