White at Sea Resort in Ban Phe

A real little gem of a place with nice rooms and friendly staff. Lovely atmosphere in the room, like being in a tree house on the third floor. Quite magical. Right across the road from the beach (see picture) Neighbouring restaurant is also very good and they will do room service to your terrace, which is lovely by the moonlight with the sounds of the forest. Room was in good upkeep and recently painted. Shower worked well.

The beach is across the street in front of the White@Sea. We stayed in a bungalow for 900 Baht, walk-in rate. Room is old but clean. A room in the same building with Reception cost 1000 Baht. This building looks new, has sea view and is closer to the street but I prefer the bungalow. The bed cover is blue and blanket is white. All have fresh and clean smell and they are cotton. I love that. Our room shares the same roof with another room and in front of our rooms is a charcoal grilling cement oven for guests to grill their own foods. Each pair of bungalows has one grilling oven like this as far as I see. The small refrigerator is very old but still works. The electric kettle works well. The basin is outside the bathroom and I like that. I can boil my water or clean my teeth when my husband takes a shower. Warm water works well. Shampoo in 2 bottles in the bathroom. No other toiletries. There is a comfortable and large enough space in L shape in front of our room with 2 plastic chairs and 1 round table. The swing chair is also cool. A hanging rope is next to our room but I hung my wet swimsuits on the chair. They all were dry the next morning. The underpants I hung on my iron bedhead were dry fast too. The aircon worked well but I turned it off at midnight. Thanks to the 3 mosquito nets near the wash basin, we still had fresh air to breathe. It is cool in early January. The iron bed had a noise when I sat on it but no noise when I slept. Reception and Housekeeping staff are all smiling and pleasant to deal with. People nearby (not sure if they were guests of this same resort) played music in English at night but that didn’t bother me.

Really lovely place to stay, nice staff, great rooms, net to the beach and the restraint at the front has great food. Also dog frendly.....

We stayed in a 4th floor open apartment with an enclosed bedroom and outdoor table & chairs & breakfast bar. These apartments are minimalist in style. Although a little tired, their charm and sea view make them recommendable. There is no lift & the bed is low on the floor, making getting out of bed potentially tricky for anyone less able. There is a restaurant next door. The staff were very nice and produced a birthday cake for me (they noticed my DOB during check-in). Rates were very reasonable. They also have bungalows, which we did not try.

The hotel is ok. If you want to chill and stay exactly in front of the beach for a very small price, this is the right place for you.
Big room with everything you need, also cattle with instant coffee, small fridge with water.
The mattress is very comfortable even if on the floor.
The toilet is ok and shower as well.
We had the room with big balcony sea view.

The facility is simple, but there is a balcony and it was very nice to spend time there. There is also a cottage, which I think would be fun if you go with a group of people. I would like to go again if I have the opportunity.
