Mr Boy is an absolute legend. If you want to rent a Bike or book a Snorkel tour, do it here. We returned the bikes late but it wasn’t a problem at all. The bikes were in a perfect condition compared to other rentals, too.

We rented 2 mopeds for almost a month here. They had the best prices on the island. Super fair with returning part of our prepaid rental fee when we left early.
Overall great experience, very easy to deal with and very competitive pricing.

Really cheap place with good sea view. The person in charge is really nice.

The hotel is located far away from the main street. If you want to go the main street you have to walk on dirt road without any light for about 15 minutes! Not recommended at all!
The room was a disaster! Many broken things, ugly stickers everywhere.
WiFi disconnecting every two minutes.
Really disgusting smell inside the room, we couldn't find where it comes from.
A/C barely working, having difficult time cool down the room.
Sink draining wasn't good and the water took a lot of time to go down.
No room service.
Manager told us that we have to check out since he already booked our room to someone else even though we booked it for the same dates and already stayed two nights! So we had to pack everything and go look for another hotel!

Good room for cheap money and the staff is very helpful!
The only thing that brings it slightly down is the location as it's a bit far away from it all. However, if you are going to their festival at the secret garden, this is super close to that!

We booked a standard room, which on the advertising it really should clarify standard rooms do not include a window. The front desk was very nice and relocated us to another room that had a window which was above and beyond. The rooms were clean, the view was really nice. The ad did say 5 minutes to Sairee Beach however it is about an approx 10-12 minute walk (slightly uphill) to get to the main town access of Sairee Beach. We were disappointed at first but then realized there was a benefit to being a bit farther away from the main area so you didn't hear the noise all night long. The pillows in our first room were rock hard and we heard others talking about it too, but in the second room we had they were quite comfortable. Also we always like to sleep with the A/C on, there was no blanket, just a sheet, so even with a fan on it got a little chilly at night. I would stay here again on Koh Tao, value for the price.

Nice and helpful owners. Great views over sairee bay. Rooms are functional and offering rather big balconies. Small things could be improved e.g. the poor light conditions in the bathrooms.
The higher the floor, the better the view. But be aware the stairs to the upper floors are steep.

Cheap option for a private room if you don't mind a bit of a walk
Condition of the room was fairly average; Had to kill quite a number of mosquitoes when first entering the room. Overall, the room seemed fairly clean, and served its purpose well as a place to sleep after being out all day.

Value: Ok - cheap for a private room, but it's fairly distant without much around it
Misc: Has a fridge inside, which is a really nice perk on Koh Tao. I arrived one day late due to illness, so even though I saved the electricity and water for this day, and there was already an air conditioning unit in the room (just needed to be turned on), the front desk wouldn't turn on the AC for me for just one day of my 3 day stay. And I was asking while the power had suddenly cut out (ended up remaining out for ~30 min, but workers estimated it normally lasting about an hour). I realize this would have been bending the rules a bit, but I think it was a reasonable given the circumstances.
Opportunities for improvement: Move safety deposit box into each room so visitors have 24 hour access to it

Stayed here few years ago and visited it this year , the street is little bit too dangerous to pass but they still working on to rebuild it, actually rent a scooter.
Was a lovely and silent place, friendly owner who arranges pick up service from and to the pier , and of course tours for GOOD Prices. By the way you can rent a scooter there . Walk distance to the beach about 10 minutes
