Palm Coco Mantra in Lamai Beach

We had the villa and enjoyed our stay. Clean rooms, comfy bed and really kind staff. We had the breakfast included which was really good. Not really a lot to choose from, but thats not necessary for us.

The beach is kind of a private beach shared with the hotel next to it. There are no other tourists, for some people that’s preferable.

The location is perfect if you rent a scooter. Within 10 min at the lamai night market and around 20 min at the chaweng walkingstreet

Beautiful hotel by the sea.
Rooms are very big and comfortable.
Foods are okay but not perfect.
Not much opportunity to swim here but you may go to crystal beach by taking a motorbike or taxi. Anyway I walked down the rock area and found myself a swimming point but it requires an effort :) which I am okay with.
You can walk by the sea in the afternoon like after 5-6 PM and nice walking route down to Lamai night market and it takes around 30-35 minutes.

Wonderful place with wonderful service, this rating is real. Worth every penny spent. The room view is awesome, you can wake up open window and enjoy the unblocked sea view and feel the breeze. Another highlight is that you can walk onto the sea for kilo with same depth, very rare beach here. Staff here are like 5 stars, polite and kind. Very recommended !

Quiet and small hotel off the beaten path. Staff were lovely. Decent food at the restaurant at reasonable prices. We stayed in a villa (46), which was great for privacy and spaciousness. Mini fridge and wifi worked well. There was a lot of mildew and buildup in the shower. The shower had great pressure but the shower head holder was poor and shot water all over the place, often getting outside the shower making a mess on the floor. Note that the hotel does not have face cloths, so bring your own if you need them.

There was a few times when random foul smells permeated our room, but they passed on their own. Our villa did not really have a view of anything except the villa in front of us, and the seating in was a stone bench with the pillows. We ended up bringing two chairs from inside to sit on out there. Mosquitoes were pesky, bring some big spray if you want to sit outside.

We always found seating by the pool except one day, but we were able to grab a couple bean bag type chairs and sit on the beach. If you're looking for somewhere where you can take long walks on the beach you may want to look elsewhere as the beach is not very long. If you like going in the sea, bring some water shoes as there's a lot of coral and rocks.

There are restaurants, laundry, massages, a pharmacy and convenience store within about 10-15 minutes of a walk. The hotel road leading to the main road is winding, dark in spots, and isn't great for walking. The front desk will rent you a scooter and helmets for 300-350 baht per day.

All in all, we enjoyed the hotel but would choose a bit more lively of an area if staying more than a few days.

Had a really peaceful stay at Palm Coco Mantra. The place is super quiet with a beautiful view, perfect if you just want to relax and unwind. The staff were very well-behaved and helpful throughout our stay.
Big plus: you can rent a two-wheeler directly from the reception, which makes exploring Koh Samui really easy and hassle-free. Overall, a smooth and comfortable stay, would definitely recommend if you want a calm vibe.

We stayed here for 4 nights in one of the villa bungalows. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, slept incredibly well, and experienced no disturbances. Check-in was friendly and quick, and the scooters we wanted to rent (as the location is a bit remote) were also promptly arranged. The bungalow itself was perfectly fine, with well-functioning air conditioning, a slightly firm bed, and effective blackout curtains. The cleanliness could have been a bit better, but these were minor details.

We found the breakfast to be excellent. While I can understand that an 8:00 AM start time might be a bit late for some, it didn't bother us. Freshly made eggs or omelets are available, and waffles are also an option. There's toast, fresh fruit, and an Asian breakfast selection as well.

We ordered cocktails by the pool, but found them to be on the pricey side. We tried to order an iced latte, but they weren't able to make one. Otherwise, everything was perfectly fine, and we received a very friendly check-out and farewell.

Overall, excellent value for money, as we only paid €253 for the villa for 4 nights.

We booked this hotel solely based on its Tripadvisor reviews, and we certainly weren't disappointed. As we were looking for somewhere a bit away from the hustle and bustle, we chose this accommodation. All the hotel staff were super friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was small but perfectly formed; it had everything we needed. Our approximately 44m² room was also beautiful and was cleaned daily. Any 'special requests' were always accommodated to our complete satisfaction. Should we ever find ourselves back on Samui, this hotel will definitely be our first choice! See you again!

Exceptional location and service! We had a spacious, well-appointed room with a terrace, which was particularly convenient on rainy days. The entire Palm Coco team is genuinely dedicated to our well-being, from offering assistance and comfort to providing excellent breakfast and dining experiences. The large beachfront pool (a welcome option when the tide is out) and the bay, protected by a coral reef, offer stunning views! A very peaceful hotel in a beautiful location, featuring a lovely beachfront pool. The beach experiences tidal changes, which we actually considered a plus, as it creates a very picturesque scene, beautifully framed by granite rocks. Comfortable sun loungers are available by the pool, along with beach towels provided by the hotel. The staff, from the front desk to the cleaning crew, are all very kind and attentive. We stayed in a spacious room on the second floor with a magnificent sea view. The bed was very comfortable, thanks to a mattress that wasn't overly soft. The well-maintained garden contributes to a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. However, you'll need a scooter or car to get around easily, as the island's attractions and other beaches aren't easily accessible on foot. The breakfast was excellent, with a good selection of sweet, savory, and fruit options. We would, however, suggest that the hotel pay a little more attention to cleanliness and hygiene, particularly in the rooms. This is the only reason we can't give it a 5-star rating. Finally, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the hotel. We had to cut our stay short due to a serious family emergency that required us to return to Italy early. They graciously did not charge us for the unused nights, which we don't believe is standard practice for all hotels, so our sincere thanks go out to them. Overall, we highly recommend this hotel.
