Giuseppe greeted me with warmth and great advice on local spots like scooter rentals, instantly making me feel at home. The hotel itself is clean, comfortable, and conveniently located, especially for airport access. I’m especially grateful for Giuseppe offering to drive me to the airport for my early flight, it could’ve been harder to find a driver that early and would’ve probably been more expensive.
Every time I texted him, he responded right away. There was a time my phone stopped working and I needed my boarding pass for my flight the next morning and Giuseppe didn’t hesitate to help and printed it for me.
I’m definitely coming back to Gecko Hotel. It’s not just the place, but the people like Giuseppe that made my stay very memorable.
Noise isn’t an issue even though it’s on a main road.
The rooms are well equipped with a fridge, some cutlery, a kettle and microwave. The rooms are very clean.
The air con and fans work great. The Italian owner is very friendly.
There are some good local restaurants in land to the east. Turn left out of the hotel and take your first right about a 10 minute walk. It’s also close to a couple of supermarkets.
