Fisherman Koh Tao in Koh Tao Island

I am happy to write a review for this hotel. The location is excellent for beach views and access to the beach just right off the bar. Our room was clean and organized. The AC was AWESOME! It was a little bare bones with the shower and hanging pole to dry clothes, but I think it fit the bungalow vibe. The bar staff were friendly and welcoming, food and drinks delicious. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful to answer our questions, we had a smooth transfer from the pier to hotel. When we arrived, we were upgraded to a hotel room just right off the beach. There was construction on the first day, but after that it was no noise or problems. I think this is a great spot for honeymoon, just call ahead to hear the status of any construction.

Rooms are nice. Shower is good. There are alot of mosquitoes we had our own mosquito net to use otherwise it might be annoying. Straight at the beach but also walking distance to freedom beach where you can do amazing snorkeling.

But, MOSQUITOES!! TOO MANY!! Take care of your skin! I hope this resort can find solution for that. It’s the most mosquito place we’ve been in Koh Tao.

We were greeted by a very aggressive receptionist, who we felt was disturbing during his lunch break, while chatting with other residents it seems that we were not the only ones. Regrettable behavior. Beyond that, an idyllic setting.

Very good location. The sign for the hotel isn't very clear, but it's easy to find. Next to a private beach. The swimming pool is very beautiful, the nature is beautiful, near the view point, good service.

I loved this place located south of the main pier. It’s located on a beautiful little cove right on the beach front. The pool area is breath taking and the gardens and decor are wonderful. The food at the restaurant was very good too. My room was clean, safe, comfortable. And looked just like the photos online. This part of the island is very peaceful and the Ocean Sound Dive and Yoga, where I took a one day Try scuba lesson, was walking distance as were a few other good food places. The only down fall here is that none of the ATMs were in working order and I had to catch a ride to withdrawal money. However this is not the fault of the Fisherman resort, but future guests should be prepared. I enjoyed my first night so much I extended it to two nights and would happily go back again.

Lovely place with lovely people! We stayed here 9 nights and we have eaten several breakfasts, lunches, bites and dinners here. The staff were very nice. It is clean. And the food and cocktails are cheap and good. No such thing as bees (as some nasty lady pretends in a review here, we heard her scream without reason and she was not civilised at all towards the staff! They showed her the place and her room before she agreed and payed for it.) The swimming pool is also clean and very romantic. If you go to Thailand you know you will encounter animals and wildlife. In our room (little bungalow near the swimming pool) we had zero bugs, spiders or whatsoever inside. Every day we got clean towels and drinking water and they clean the room. Yes sometimes you have to wait a little or things will not go as planned. Welcome to Thailand. Enjoy. It is one of the view quiet places left at Koh Tao also because of the garden with waterfall and Buddha’s. Within 200 meters you can buy food, get a massage and go towards the rest of the island. Over the past 30 years we have been several times to Koh Tao and this time we stayed at Fisherman’s for the first but certainly not for the last time!
