Lotus Hostel Beach Koh Tao in Koh Tao Island

If you don't want to live in a ZOO don't stay at Lotus!! We booked 3 nights had to leave after 2 nights. We wanted already leave after one night but they said we'll get no refund. We changed the room 3 times!! So we saw 4 different rooms. We had bed bugs, ants streets, lizards. Also we had one room which looked clean but had so many hairs under the pillow. It was disgusting!

Also the rooms were so hot! It was warmer outside even with the fan. So definitely don't go there and invest 2 Euros more and look for something acceptable! We left and didn't get anything without the passport back. No sorry, not anything. So really thank you for nothing!! See you never again!

Reception was friendly.

However..

We booked an apartment with fan, but we was not even situated at the resort but a few streets and over the road from the actual resort and pool etc. This is not explained at booking, so the pictures of what we thought we were booking were deceiving. No reception here so if you need anything you will have to go back and fourth, same with using the pool etc.

The room was hot with only a rotating fan to push the air around. You can leave your balcony door or curtains open for your windows but the locals in the side street can see through and gives you no privacy. No hot water. Bathroom could be cleaner. Not what we thought we booked at all.

If you just need a room to sleep in at night with a good location then it's fine. If you want to relax in your room in the evening again it is so hot & can be noisy from people below and around.

Stayed in better places for alot less.

No mountain view.
