Moonwalk Lanta Resort in Lanta Island

We have returned to Moonwalk and Ko Lanta again and again – nearly ten times in total. We’ve also traveled elsewhere in Thailand, but we’ve come to realize that this is our place. We’ve even lived on the island for a longer period – nine months altogether – and this time we stayed for three months. During our entire stay, we were at Moonwalk, which feels like a second home to us. The staff at Moonwalk are exceptionally helpful – they always arranged everything we asked for, whether it was tours, transfers from Phuket to Ko Lanta, or even celebrating Songkran. Their prices are fair, and most importantly, they are trustworthy. The food was excellent, and feedback was always received with gratitude and a genuine willingness to improve. They truly have a heart for serving, helping, and evolving in everything they do. The manager is very kind, and especially Tum (in the photo) is absolutely lovely. The new chef prepares fantastic meals and pays attention to even the smallest special requests. The atmosphere is warm and homey: dogs, cats, chickens, and roosters wander freely in the yard, peacefully coexisting. The beach is rocky, but that doesn’t matter – the roughness adds a beautiful contrast, and during high tide it transforms into an idyllic, picturesque shore. It’s safe to swim in the sea, and there are great snorkeling spots at both ends of the beach – easy to walk to even several times a day. The location is excellent: you’ll often find yourself on a paradise-like beach that sometimes feels almost deserted, yet all the services – 7-Eleven, beach bars, restaurants, and the village of Saladan – are close by. Saladan, where the ferry arrives, is just a 20-minute scooter ride away. The prices on this beach are very reasonable, and even though the bungalows are simple, they have air conditioning and everything you need for a comfortable stay. I wholeheartedly recommend Moonwalk and Klong Khong Beach – to us, it's more than just a place to stay. It's a community we feel we belong to. Moonwalkin henkilökunta on poikkeuksellisen avuliasta – he järjestivät meille aina kaiken, mitä pyydämme. Ruoka oli erinomaista, ja palautetta otettiin vastaan kiitollisuudella ja kehittämishengessä. Heillä on selkeä halu palvella, auttaa ja parantaa aina kaikessa. Johtaja on erittäin ystävällinen ja erityisesti Tum ( kuvassa) erittäin erittäin ihana. Uusi kokki tekee erinomaista ruokaa ja ottaa kaikki pienetkin erityistoiveet huomioon. Tunnelma on lämmi

This simple resort has a beautiful beachside restaurant which we made use of a couple of times. All them restaurants along with stretch are wonderful and have amazing fuse of the sunset in the early evening. This one was particularly good though as they had large beers at 90 which is the cheapest on the beach they were very cold and served them with any which was great. The staff were friendly, the music very chilled out and it made a relaxing place to enjoy a cold one. Your feet are on the sand, you are just metres from the sea and the view of the islands is stunning so definitely worth a try.

This hotel absolutely exceeded our expectations, even when we had high expectations based on all the great reviews. The customer service was next-level; the staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely happy to see us every time. Their energy and attentiveness made our stay even better.

The location was super convenient, right between everything we wanted to do, and just a short walk from a great fruit stand, so huge plus! Grabbing fresh fruit daily was awesome.

Having scooter rentals on-site was also a game-changer. The scooters were great, well-maintained, and super convenient for exploring the island.

The housekeeping team was amazing. Our room was cleaned daily, fresh water was always provided, and everything was spotless. The rooms themselves were spacious and well-maintained.

One more thing worth mentioning: the hotel is really well cared for. The pool was always clean and looked after, making it a great spot to relax.

We have been maybe 5 times at Koh Lanta. And this is 3rd time here Moonwalk resort, in the same place.This is reall, really y friendly place, with great location. You have calm, really clean bungalows and if you want to party, it's just 2 minutes from here. Staff is really really friendly. Breakfast and food if great and they clean you bungalow every day, if you want. massage: excellent So you don't need to go anywhere. And if you want to go: there is Saladan and Old town pretty near., you can go with scooter, or of course taxi. Great for couples, .great for who want to party, but sleep well, and great for family, with small or teenager kids . Best part of Ko Lanta. We highly recommend!

We spent Xmas 2021 at this friendly family run resort. We were the first visitors since the pandemic so I was worried buteveryone at the resort made such a huge effort to get everything in place for us. The resort was lovely & quiet. We stayed in the poolside villa which was great, the pool was lovely & clean, staff went out of their way to assist with anything we needed, going as far as to provide us a taxi service to Sala Dan in their own vehicles. During our 6 days the beachside massage tables opened so Xmas Eve afternoon was a lovely massage watching the sun slowly set. Thank you so much for making our first venture out of UK since pandemic so lovely. We’ll be back!

Lovely food, and good service. Tum was an excellent host and when we asked for Thai style or Ped Ped we got just that. Fried fish with seperate sauce was just yummy, and steamed fish another time also fab.We visited 3 times and every time was the same great service and wonderful food. Thanks Tum and staff. We shall return
